Beauty surrounds the castle with it's elegance and grace
The charming moat flowing round that once kept it safe.
Hundreds of years before knights protecting it and their king.
The Castle on the hill each room tells a story
Many beautiful paintings show them all in their glory.


A dungeon with it's torture chains
There must of been so much pain.
The grand dinning room with a table so long
Jesters would play and joke entertaining with song.


The castle on the hill so much to see
Surrounded by a forest such beauty to me.
Knights would ride around here so gallant and brave
To fight with swords so powerful as the enemy would wait and lay.


Crashing down their blades would meet like lightning in the sky
Only one survivor as the other would die.
So much history here from over time as centuries have passed
But The Castle On The Hill stands tall and strong and through everything had last.

What lies beneath these deep waters of the lake
Is very much a mystery make no mistake.
For the whispering trees and the vines stretching across
The deep velvet cover of the ancient moss.


Fishermen telling tales of the mystery down below
Strange hissing noises from high to low.
What lies beneath these deep waters of the lake
Is it a strange fish or a unusual type of snake.


But beauty in it's splendour fills over the shimmering water
As the heron looks on and the carp never alter.
Many visitors come and look to see
What lies beneath deep down in with the reeds.


A glimpse they want as cameras at the ready
Keeping very still and calm and steady.
But this time no strange sightings or noises had occurred
Only the woodpecker can be heard.


So what lies beneath a mystery yet too be solved
But such great stories so many are told.
