If it's just me and the kids are on an overnighter with friends or at their mom's for the summer, I like going go out and exploring. Usually just a long drive with no particular destination. Sometimes looking for places I've heard about and might be interested in visiting. Always with the stereo blasting
Other times, I'll just find a quiet place to sit by the river and maybe read a book or just relax and do nothing at all. When the young-uns are with me, I might take 'em someplace fun like a lazer-tag arcade, a go-cart track, or a climbing wall. Or I might take 'em to the zoo or the museum. Most of those kinds of places are quite a distance away (about 175 miles to St. Louis), so we don't go every week. Maybe once a month or so. Locally, there's lots of outdoor things to do. Sometimes we'll go fishing, canoeing, camping, hiking, or swimming. Really, it just depends on the mood I'm in and how much energy I feel like I have (and of course how much extra cash I have in my pocket). Sometimes, I'm just a lazy bum and stay at home watching movies. |

Pillows.
Soft, fluffy pillows. They are always a comfortable topic. And they are fun, too. You can throw them at your partner/friend/spouse/lover/kids. If you do it just right, you can whomp a big busty blonde in skimpy nightwear and *poof* ... big cloud of feathers. In slow motion. Hey, it can happen, I've seen it in plenty of teen angst movies. And comfortable. Don't forget that, too. At night, you can lay your head on one and it's almost like laying your head on a cloud. Yes. Your own little cloud carrying you off to dreamland. (insert lullabye music) Ok, you can wake up now. Well, there's your comfortable topic. Next? |

A Favorite song....

Hm...I thought this would be easy but every time I try to name a single song, I think of another that I like as much or more. And of course it changes from day to day.
Since I can't decide I'll take one from my most recent play list: Navigate The Seas Of The Sun by Bruce Dickinson. |

I'm listening to Savatage tonight. Now playing: Dungeons Are Calling.
