Please let me know an actual song that you like...I like to find gorgeous obscure music. If you know of a really cool song....something that YOU like. I wanna google it and add it to my work MP3 player. Don't be shy...I got Saudi Club tunes (they are really good)...I got Japanese big band. (they kick@$$) I love Rockabilly, Punk, Country Funk, Getting up and getting down. What is a song that just gets you up and moving? That is what I am here to steal. (Hey, at least I am honest.) |

Well I'm not sure if you'll like his songs but I am a Bon Jovi fan since I was so much younger. I like 'Someday I'll Be Saturday Night' in particular as I find the lyrics inspiring and the beat an upper too.

Schpongle has a lot of very Psychedelic tunes! They are real psychedelia.
I have a CD called Sud Sudar which is Pseudo Indian music. it was all composed on the principles of Indian music by modern musicians so it is NOT traditional per say. It is quite listenable. For something different and spans a wide variety of Japanese Culture is the Akira Sound Track. A band I fell in love with is or actually was Trees of Life now known as Trees Asylum. They did the music for an animated called Tamala 2010 a Punk Cat In Space and the Sound Track is OH SO VERY listenable. The animated Tamala 2010 is just bazaar and is a running homage to a host of animation styles and is loosely based on the Greek mythos of Minerva. Tamala keeps dying a violent death over and over and over and wakes up like nothing ever happened. Unfortunately someone she befriends has to witness her death over and over and over and having her reappear on him not remembering who he was but feeling a connection to him with each reappearance. And The Red Elvises. You can't go wrong with the Red Elvises. |

Hm...I thought this would be easy but every time I try to name a single song, I think of another that I like as much or more. And of course it changes from day to day.
Since I can't decide I'll take one from my most recent play list: Navigate The Seas Of The Sun by Bruce Dickinson. |

A really awesome album that you should purchase is from this group called Mumford and Sons. The album entitled Sigh No More is really different and contains this folklore rock sound that is outta this world. The lyrics are magnificent and lets you grasp the meaning they're trying to convey with their music There is not a bad song on this album. Ones to hear are Winter Winds, Little Lion Man and Roll Away Your Stone.

The Outlaws (not Willie Nelson) song Green Grass and High Tides always speak to me for some reason.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R82OM5tzcrk Out long before Lynyrd Skynyrd Freebird, I prefer it over Freebird as the Southern Rock Anthem. The year was around 1970 or so, and yes, I saw them in concert a few times. |
