Ok ill try to read Genesis again, but im going to skip all of the names. They confuse me. 
alright and if you have cause to ask question about what you read just make use of this tread. O.k? |

I have once again, started to try to read, the entire bible. Right now im in Genesis, and its already getting hard for me to understand. Is there a place, that would be a better starting place, for me? Is it necessary that I read about who had kids, how many they had, when they died, when their kids died, ect.... I have a VERY SHORT attenion span, and have recently devoted my Sunday afternoons, to reading the bible. But its really hard for me to stay with it, when its all so confusing. All the names, this kid, that kids kids, when they all died....its not only confusing...its really boring. NOT GOOD! I want to keep my promise, to read the bible, on Sunday afternoons, but im already finding it difficult. What do you suggest? God bless you! 
I would suggest just to grit and bare Genesis. Genesis is nothing but the knowledge of how everything came to be. You could skip Genesis if it's to rough. If you wish to know the knowledge of how to achieve the gift of Heaven, start with the New Testament. And if you just wish to know the history of how it all went down, then read the old testament here and there. And no it's not to important to know so and so lived so many years and had this many kids and or what not. i cowboy let her read it ,I believe God inspired her and the fundation of heavenly gift in new testament is old testament. |

now to your question ,the right place to start reading bible is genesis 1. Genesis means the beginning 2.in this genesis God was planning to gave us something from a family this is why He want to take us along though you can remember all the names but try to gain something from each reading..... You know what ? Am also go to start from the genesis again. |
