I am a 10 year Navy Vet.,(hospital corpsman)I have been a civilian since 1989 and I've worked as a nurse since then. I still do some partime agency nursing, but for the last 9 months I've worked full time as a hotel desk clerk / housekeeper/maintenance person. This came about partly out of necessity as I lost my home two years ago, and needed a place to live that I could afford for my daughters and myself and partly to learn the business( I'm taking an on line course in hospitality management.,
I have not dated since the breakup of my last relationship and loss of my home,(Sept. 2005) been to busy keeping the family going (or trying too)and yes I guess I've been a bit bitter and gun-shy. However, as I'm starting a new career I've decided to give starting new friendships a try also. Most of my old friends make me sad as they tend to dwell on the past and pity me for all I've lost, as I don't need or want pity, my dogs and my girls have been my only friends recently. I do miss adult companionship and although I hate to admit it I guess I am a bit lonely at times.
I have not been a party person since my Navy days and although I drink a beer or glass of wine on occasion, I'm not much of a drinker anymore. I was a non-smoker until 4 or 5 years ago and only in the last 2 years have I really gotten addicted I'm sorry to say, and I hope to be able to quit one day soon, I do not smoke everyday but I can go thru a few when I’m stressed or working a lot of overtime.
I love the outdoors ,horseback riding, camping, hiking, gardening, messing around doing farm chores,etc..I really got into carpentry and home repairs when I had my farm and found I liked it. I also love to work on cars though I'm no mechanic. I can do some maintenance stuff and minor repairs. I love football and all equestrian events though I have not kept up with them the last 2 years.
My immediate family consists of 4 daughters, 3 who live with me and one out on her own, ages 20,16 and 11 & 11 and two female pit bulls rescued in the last two years after we found out how unfairly they are treated and destroyed. I love country western music and science fiction.
I can be opinionated and I am passionate in all my beliefs, sometimes I may seem distant and indifferent but I am actually just cautious around new people. I love all animals and try to stay active as a volunteer and advocate for animal rights.
I work 7 days a week varying schedules but mainly nights as deskclerk/night auditor, I am saving to buy a new farmette,looking at the ohio area near lake erie. I also have the dream of one day owning my own hotel in a resort area.
Now you no more about me , please tell me a little more about all of€ you.

Just call me IM or posting illiterate, but I don't get the don't yell or stop yelling comments,please explain!!!
