I think it should be mutually agreed upon as to whether or not the woman stays home. If she wants to work I can't blame her for that. If she wants to stay home it is better for the kids studies have proved that. Would you rather have someone else with your kids during the formative stage of their lives (ages 1-5) for 10 hours a day or not it's a good question. My ex stayed home but periodically she would get a part time job just to keep from going nuts.
All in all I think it's best if the woman stays home unless she can make more money than her husband, then he should stay home. Sacrificing a little doesn't hurt either. Do you really need 2 TV's, 2 cars and other material things that can wait until your kids are in school? We ate a lot of macaronni and cheese when the kids were little but we survived...it all gets down to choices. |
