If someone is keeping track of how many dinners they paid for vs. what you've given to them then you aren't doing it because you like to. I don't want anyone to feel obligated to do stuff and keeping score. That's kind of a turn off. As a single mom I don't really have a whole lot of extra cash to pay for fancy dinners and I think when someone takes me out it's because they are doing something nice for me and showing that they enjoy my company enough to pay for our meal. It's not about the price it's the gesture.
