I'm thinking about moving to australia in about a year and a half - two years (when I'm done with school) I've been doing alot of research and Perth seems like a nice city. I'm looking to find out the basics of living there.....cost? crime rates? best and worst places to live? etc.... I figured an Australian forum would be a good way to get the facts! If anyone can help it would be great! Thanks y'all!! What lame research. Perth has a higher crime rate then Sydney. I prefer Canberra, it's alot safer then all other cities (from experience) but housing is a bit expensive. Sydney is good for apartments, Melbourne good for the coast. It does depend on what you do for work, what you want in your surroundings. I'd rather live in Melbourne or Brisbane or Adelaide or Sydney then Perth. P.S. Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane have the best public transport. Canberra only has the busses and taxis. |

Yeah, on the operating table in the local hospital not having a clue where I was or what had happened. Bright lights, Doctors & Nurses all around me & I was scared shitless!!! My appendix had ruptured & they were on borrowed time. They apparently didn't knock me out very well!! Awww! Bad doctors! |

You want a story? Okay.
I used to play online games a lot, online chat rooms. One day when i was 15, i met this beautiful young woman who was just two months younger then me. After a while it became apparent that we were very interested in each other. We lived only a 3 hour drive from each other, so we decided to meet up. When i met this girl, oh my god, she was the most beautiful one i ever seen. Only problem was, all the other girls in the town hated the guts outta her because she was a lesbian. But she was beautiful, her personality sparkled like the stars in the night sky and i loved her with all my heart. So the girls beat me up and threatened to kill me. I asked my lovely new girlfriend to come back to Canberra with me, but she refused because she wanted to stay and live with her mother, and also that she didn't want to interfere with my family. So i traveled back home after our first kiss and i promised i would be back. She called me a few weeks later and informed me she would travel to my house to stay with me during the school holidays, and her visit was wonderful. 3 days in, we had a fight about distance and the strange reasoning to our connection (we were horny!). Then, distraught she returned home with an epic burst of home sickness. We chatted for months on end, and i even apologized for my rudeness towards my attraction (horniness) to her. Then she broke off the relationship and said "It's just too difficult to keep in touch anymore, we're so far away from each other it's breaking my heart", and that was the end of it. To this day we are still interested in each other, and if she moved here, we would be going out again, but for now.. Distance takes it's toll.. So yes.. keeping a long distance relationship is hard. You miss the other person sooo much. |

I cannot stand the smell of cigarette smoke. Smokers just don't realize how bad their clothes, hair, breath and even their skin reeks from this habit. Also, the few times that I am around it I pay dearly the next day from my allergies and a severe headache. So dating someone that smoke just isn't worth it. Agreed. I'm very very senestive to smoke, so even the smell can get me off coughing. Smoking can be a really big deal-breaker. Alcohol is not unless you are really alcoholic, and some people are indeed allergic to alcohol. Some women can't stand the smell of it. |

U can now re-read my profile to rate me..i'm waiting anxiously Anisilas, your profile picture is quite appealing, however, personally i'm not too keen on your english writing. "gud" in exchange for "good" makes you seem less professional more laid back. But you're fit and angle, thats good for your age. 3/5. Please improve your writing? :) |

Curious to see.. Do any of you sing in the shower? If you do, do you do it extra loud to annoy other people in your family? :P

Legitimate Charities never go knocking on doors Hence the "mind you, no one hardly ever knocks on my doors" But Australia is weird. I've had Red Cross knock on my door a couple times. They were totally legit. |
