Hi sweetmelissa1960,

This site only keeps messages for 30 days to save space. The only message you would get in your regular email account are notifications. There isn't a way to save member message from this site on your email account.

Good Luck to you,

Kim

In addition To Kim's post, you can turn off mail notifications, if that is what you are asking? Just click on the mail tab, select 'mail settings' and remove the check mark from 'email notifications'

As much as I hate it........I think the choice that Mingle had was either to lose members, or to lose the whole site.

I don't envy management on the choices that had to have been made.

I appreciate that sentiment, Jon, i really do.

Perhaps, at some point, this may change. For now, though, we'll have to keep the S&I forum off of the boards.

Believe me, if anything changes, the forum will be returned, in it's entirety.

Has he discovered the secret to men understanding women?

Men have been trying to unlock that secret for centuries.. i doubt Bugs has the answer.

This coming from Bugs Bunny. The same wabbit who used to dress up in women's clothing and kiss Elmer Fudd. I'll have to discredit his remarks based on that alone. laugh

I like the band quite a bit actually. I much prefer this version to the original which is now being played EVERYWHERE.

I agree, better than the original.. both were good, but i like the sound of this one.

After reading over a couple of your threads, concerning computer issues, my advice is to download and run this...

http://www.malwarebytes.org/lp/malware_lp?gclid=CKWnjP7MpLECFQed7Qod700eoQ

Be sure to install the free version. Run the scan.

Also, download and run this... http://www.superantispyware.com/

These are the top two programs recommended by Dell techs.

Keep in mind, these are free programs, and will not last forever.

You'll want to uninstall them within one month.

Next, you need to go to add/remove in your control panel, and remove any unused programs.

Some antivirus programs create dummy files, if more than one anti virus program is running. While the files are basically harmless, they are a huge memory eater, and this could severely slow your machine down.

I'm no tech, but i do read and listen to them, and this seems to be a general concern.

Not asking you to bring it back. I'm just saying the logic behind the advertisers doesn't make any sense. If they want it cleaned up, why did't they want to clean it all up and just leave the TiVo adds. They only hit the area where alot of members had alot of fun.

Folks,

We would like to bring it back, certainly. We will just have to see how this plays out. Once a decision is reached, we'll let you know, of course.

Thanks for your posts, and please, give us time to work out the details.

Guys,

I do understand, and i'm sure our top brass are also working to find a solution. For now, we do not have any new updates.

Also, as i mentioned in a previous post, we can bring this entire forum back at any time, with all threads intact.

For now, though, the forum will have to remain closed.

I wish i had better news for you all, but unfortunately, the above is all i can tell you.

Please bear with us.

Thanks,
Mark

still, this is not a cpu issue, it is a memory issue or perhaps a problem with your hard drive. The cpu is simply a port for your memory, other than that, it's only an interface to your peripherals, correct? Please do correct me if i'm wrong.

Ads simply would not be able to corrupt that, unless of course they contain a virus, in which our system would have already detected.

I suspect one of your memory cards may have failed. This happened to me, just recently.

If you have any other particulars, i would like to hear them, because i love solving problems, and learning.

I've noticed this the past few days.

One ad for sure causing slowdowns is "Great Wolf Lodge".

Athlon X2 dual 3800+
XP Pro sp3
8.0.6001.18702IS

Flash 11.1.102.55

First off,

the adds in no way, would have any effect on your cpu. I suspect your memory is overloaded.

My suggestion would be to uninstall any unused programs, and downlosd and run this http://www.malwarebytes.org/lp/malware_lp?gclid=CPecvcPRkrECFQgFnQodMkiHeg this is a free version, but it is the best anti malware i've found. Hope this helps,
Mark
