Frankly, I think the whole political arena has the mentality of an immature grade schooler. Then; People wonder why the world hates the USA... People wonder why our politicians are untrustworthy... People wonder why they are not happy with our government... People wonder why things that need to change doesn't change... The whole mess seems like it was written for a play by a madman. What is worse is the fact that nobody seems to notice the insanity and our people just add to the madness. Then, every four years, we load up the insanity gun and fire it again, with new ammo that does pretty much the same thing over again. IMO, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump never should have even made it to the election. Neither were qualified to represent this country. As a matter of opinion, none of the representatives are qualified to represent their states either. IMO, Grow the faulk up! Tom, I totally agree. 2016 found America at the nadir of political thought, with most of the votes being cast being "against" a candidate, rather than "for" a candidate. Also, with the lowest percentage of the population voting of any presidential election (I believe only 26% of the country), it shows how lousy both candidates were; nobody cared enough to make the effort to get off their butt and vote. Unfortunately, the lack of a third-party candidate means that campaigning and elections will continue to get dirtier. After the last true three-candidate election in 1992 caused an unpredictable result, both the Dems and Reps want to keep third parties out of the presidential race: the Tea Partiers were the last attempt, but the Republicans sucked them into their platform to silence them (leading to the Palin factor, where Gidget most probably cost McCain the election). Of course, now that Dear Leader has shown that an election can basically be bought, we may as well run 2020 like an episode of American Idol |

I'm waiting for the Trump supporters to jump in and start trying to explain this newest Trump bs. Trump supporters are too busy working to keep up with the latest CNN Trump bashing. Voting is what counts anyway. This comment implies that non-Trump supporters are NOT working? What kind of BS is that? In other threads we have already cited (AP article, I can grab the citation if you "forget" what you read), it was established that it is the blue states that are the majority funding for the folks who are on the dole, and the biggest welfare states are red states. Blue states would find it pretty hard to shoulder that tax burden if we were not working. Next misconception you want to fact-check? |

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeererzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeeweeee.......... This is the spirited debate skills that we have come to expect from Trump supporters. The extra letters harken back to grammar school thought processes, because the debater can't think of concrete evidence to offer in counterpoint. Usually a comment like this is followed by such elucidation as "Oh yeah?" |

So, It's OK to start a thread and post what you think you know. With nothing to back it up. But it's bashing when you post the truth with something you can back up. Like a URL. Many of you will get on these threads and argue page after page of what you think. Very seldom do you back it up with facts. I started a thread from fact. It really happened. But that's bashing. No sir. It's not bashing. It's telling the truth based on fact. Our president does things like this on a daily basis almost. But many of you seem to choose to ignore it. I see thread, after thread, With praises of Trump. Most of those threads are not based on fact. So, I decided to post a thread for once that is based on fact. If you can argue page after page based on what you think. You should be able to argue your point based on fact. And that is why I started this thread. Bashing has nothing to do with it. ![]() ![]() Charles, the Trump supporters can't take it when someone says their Emperor has no clothes, saying it is "tasteless" to go against the President. We have to have pity on them for being in such denial. And I am sure they never said a bad word about the previous president when he was in office. Blake, there are enough threads here that contain lines like "Trump is the greatest president of my life" (must be uttered by someone who has never known another president, so they must be only 18 months old). This buffoon currently in the WH doesn't even crack the top 50% of the country's best presidents: he is a pathological liar, an egotist, and someone who has on numerous times betrayed our intelligence community. He claims to be all for respecting the National Anthem, but did not know common flag or Anthem etiquette when he took office. (There are pictures of his wife telling him what to do). Now Dear Leader is facing heat (Mueller must be getting close to the true proof of Trump's misdeads) and is starting to sweat. Only the most obtuse individual would fail to see the man is scared that he is about to publicly proven for misconduct which might be treasonous. The scary thing though is: other presidents have been found guilty of misconduct and reacted nobly, this guy is going to react very dangerously when he crashes and burns. He is the definition of "loose cannon" |

Petenh I didn't know you could order just eggs! I do like eggs but not egg beaters and I thought that is what most fast foods fix. I like Our Cafe. they fix real eggs ! Toody, they will sell you just eggs during breakfast hours, it is not part of their "all day breakfast menu". They do a good job with them, nice and fluffy. I order them with a pat of butter, and hit them with some hot sauce that is usually in the truck. It is decent when I don't have time to make myself eggs in the morning. Never asked, but I am guessing they could probably put some bacon next to it too. |

https://variety.com/2018/music/news/fox-news-aretha-franklin-patti-labelle-1202908395/ Fox News Mistakenly Uses Patti LaBelle Photo in Aretha Franklin Tribute Hey, give Fox SOME credit, at least they didn't use the picture of Stevie Wonder... I mean, all black women look alike to them. |

I just read that FOX News just recorded it's 25th consecutive month as the most watched cable news network. FNC recorded 2.4 million viewers in July prime time deliveries versus 1.6 million at MSNBC and .8 million at CNN. There may be some troubles at FNC, but they are so far ahead of MSNBC and CNN that they kind of don't matter. You aren't watching CNN at the airports are you Dave? Then again, those numbers might be fake news. I mean, wasn't Fox the only news channel that reported that Trump's inauguration turn out was bigger than either Obama inauguration crowd? This reporting alone might show that Fox can't count. |

I honestly don't understand why some people are so against Trump. He is doing what's best for our country. I understand illegals aren't happy but they aren't Americans anyway. I am not against Trump, personally. Im against him as POTUS. I dont think he has a clue what he is doing EXCEPT in the arena of profiting others like him. I dont think he can possibly represent Americans, as his experience and concerns have never been about any except those in the top tier socio economically. I think he is an embarassment that makes himself appear as if he is incompetent, uneducated, childish and a bully. I agree. However, I would add that I believe he is going easy on the Russians because he is seeking to do private business with them. I believe he violated US election rules by colluding with the Russians, and that they helped him because they knew that his lack of political experience would make him easier to continue to pull the wool over. I also believe that Trump actually never wanted the job as POTUS, he just did it to feed his ego. Oh, and had he lost, he would have had 4 more years of ego stroking as he would not have shut up about every little thing he disagreed with the White House doing, doing "I told you so" speeches to the folks he had sucked in during the campaign. I equate Trump to the kid who ran for High School Class President, on the platform of "no homework on Fridays, and free ice cream with lunch", not thinking through the fact that he could not really follow through on his campaign promises. I mean, Trump is adding to the debt, the road infrastructure is still a non-starter, the health insurance lobby (which shanghaied Obamacare and made it a cash-cow mess) will not release their grip and let him make changes to healthcare, and thankfully the stupid wall idea is going nowhere |

I think you're absolutely right you're wise beyond your years it's America you can do whatever the f*** you want to do long as you work hard for it you're not hurting anybody it's a free country I can't remember the exact quote, but comedian Craig Furguson has it right when he says "I've found that most Americans don't give a ___ what you do, just so long as you stay the ___ off their lawn". |

Momo, Do not contact

Has anyone heard of the Momo thing that's gone viral? It seems that there's no limit to stupidity now days. People actually think this is some paranormal entity when in al truth it's a group of hackers spoofing numbers. The moment you text or call one of the listed numbers they hack your device, that's how the personal details it reveals to you are found out. Do not message or call! At the new house, it was cheaper to get the "Triple Play", so I have VoIP her, and even phones hooked up to the VoIP, but I don't give out the phone number (I would actually have to look up the number if I wanted it!)... I mean, if you are someone I want to talk to, you probably have my cell #. However, the home phone rings all day. I sit and laugh when it rings, wanting to pick it up and just scream "Outgoing calls ONLY on this line, ___hole!" But life is much better now that I no longer deal with the "Rachel from Cardholder Services", phony charity calls, and political polling |

Comment: While Trump has been touting the idea of the ISS being handed over to the private sector, the US deepstate needs to demonize Russia to justify its existence so it seems unlikely that any constructive cooperation will be allowed to happen between the two countries anytime soon: Roscosmos and NASA are already pretty much in partnership regarding the ISS. For the past 5 years, the only way to get an American to the ISS was on a Russian rocket... But Americans are charged QUITE handsomely for the ride. The Russians have demonstrated they will do anything for cash, including carrying tourists on an expensive up-and-back to the ISS when one of the Soyuz needed to be swapped out. Can't remember the rich idiot's name, but he was on all the newscasts saying "I love space" This "partnership" Roscosmos is looking for is nothing more than a cash infusion. With private US industry such as SpaceX and Blue Origin privatizing space transport to the ISS (plans to do so pre-date Dear Leader), Roscosmos is seeing their future business prospects and current revenue stream drying up. Surrendering the ISS to private industry, however, is a stupid idea. Imagine the lawsuit by the new owners against the federal government when a weld fails. Things like metal fatigue (much higher in space, and the reason why they keep putting out packages of experiments on the ISS, testing new materials) mean there is a lifetime to that platform. Oh, and "Deepstate" is just another one of those fear-mongering words like "bogeyman" and "Illumaniti". |

But some think it funny to equate that to our president in a veiled way......tasteless. But it is OK for some to directly equate it to a past president, that is funny, right? Or a past secretary of state? Just as tasteless, but there we are, there we are. Me, I never ascribed the passage to anyone but Hitler, did I? You ***-u-med a connection I did not make. |
|
|

Hitler was also a vegetarian, and was documented to have terrible gas. His personal physician stocked him up on patent medicines and personal concoctions in an effort to well, "brighten up the room".
Another interesting tidbit: Both Hitler and Churchill were both fond of painting landscapes, and were rather good. I recommend Martin Gilbert's book "In Search of Churchill" to those who would like to read about the man. |

]may not be fake, but it's not being interpreted very well...NYC and LA have a bigger population then the states of Mis.and Alabama, and both cities have lots of work to get, unlike most of the southern states except Texas... So, that actually makes sense... Wait, from what I read here, Dear Leader has totally licked unemployment, and there are plenty of jobs EVERYwhere, and if people are not working, they are LAZY. But there is more work in BLUE states? And more lazy people in red states? And the burden of covering the lazy in the red states is on the hard workers in blue states? I would call that a true paradox, that the states so bucking welfare funding are the states taking the most welfare money? It just seems that when the gold paint (well, orange paint) is rubbed a bit, the finish comes right off these "successes" Dear Leader is trying to claim |
|
|
|
Ya know, all of you are looking at this one sided...welfare fraud isn't just the consumers, it's also the store owners as well, where the bigger frauds take place... For all you deniers out there, a simple Google search will show this Seems that the most potential for fraud is in "Republican states" as well... as you said, a simple Google search shows it "WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican leaders have spent months promoting the myth that red low-tax states are subsidizing blue high-tax states because of the deduction for state and local taxes. An Associated Press Fact Check finds it’s actually the other way around. High-tax, traditionally Democratic states (blue), subsidize low-tax, traditionally Republican states (red) — in a big way." https://www.apnews.com/2f83c72de1bd440d92cdbc0d3b6bc08c It simply goes back to the original premise of this thread, that the "lazy left" is a misnomer, the blue states are shouldering the tax burden of lazy Trump supporters... Let me guess, "fake news", right? |

Saw this recently, thought it would make for an interesting topic of discussion here:
He had a domineering father and learned at an early age that you either dominate and win, or you lose. He became immature and impatient with a short attention span and little attention for details. He freely told lies and came to believe most of them himself. He eventually lived in a fantasy world and lost his grip on reality. In spite of all this he attained success, in large part due to his bravado and showmanship. He even acquired a fabulous retreat in one of the most beautiful locations in the country. Through his oratory capabilities and theatrics he was able to mesmerize his base. He promised to champion the middle class and put the unemployed back to work. Making numerous promises that he had no intention of keeping, he was voted into political power largely by protest votes against established politicians. He became the leader of his country. He abrogated treaties and convinced his people that he was the only one who could lead their country back to its rightful place of glory. After denying he would do so he sent troops into foreign lands. He often didn't take advice from his closest advisers. In fact, although he surrounded himself with high ranking military officers, he seldom took their advice, believing and saying that he was smarter than the generals. He believed that legislators were there only to do his bidding. He took refuge in those few who were still loyal and told him what he wanted to hear. Who am I talking about? Why, Adolph Hitler of course. Who did you think? |

i'm not too lazy to offer a deserved apology. ![]() I love it. Civility! I have described myself as lazy as well. Usually it is just when I try to think things through at work, instead of having to take actions twice... It has actually spawned a phrase of "Sometimes laziness pays off" |

It's funny watching liberals ***** about the stock market losing money when they didn't have anything invested. The recession was about more than the stock market. People lost jobs and homes but liberals were told to blame it on mortgage backed securities. People were refinancing to go on vacations, pay off credit card debit, a new bass boat, etc. They borrowed as much money as banks would lend. They saved absolutely nothing for a rainy day. The first little hick-up and they were screwed. But taking the blame for their mistakes would be crazy. Again, I am puzzled by your logic. I believe you are against welfare, but when these corporations (Citibank, GM...) acted without fiduciary responsibility, corporate welfare was OK for them? Why didn't Citibank use the money THEY saved for a rainy day? (The answer is that the money went to salaries and bonuses to the people on the top of the company instead, they did not lose THEIR jobs) The funny thing about a recession, it hits EVERYone, not just the people who caused it, or who owned the effected stocks. But yet, the people who caused it didn't lose THEIR jobs, when their actions and decisions certainly had a waterfall effect that caused others (in differing business sectors even) to lose their jobs. |

Trump wasn't president back then. Most people are broke because if they went into a store and all they had was a turd, they would by it. |
