A4 paper is approximately .1mm thick. If you fold a piece of A4 paper in half 44 times (yes, we all know that this is physically impossible, we are talking theoretically here), you would effectively be doubling the thickness of the piece of paper with each fold. Simple math produces the answer: 1,787,366 KM The mean (average) distance from the Earth to the Moon is 382,500 km. So folding a piece of common copy paper in half 44 times would would result in a piece of paper thick enough to reach to the Moon and back over four and a half times!

It's a theory - it's not possible to do..
but if you could fold it 44 times, it would surpass the height of the moon.

Like, my parents have been too good to me for be to just treat this as another birthday.. I wanna get her something she'll never forget.

my moms birthday, she'll be turning 45..
and i also have 3 consecutive hours where i don't have class, haha.

so i want to go out and get her something really nice, and bring it to her work, and surprise her.

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to get her.. she's not giving me anything to go off.

all i know, is that she's really into antiques, and pretty things that you'd get a bowrings - if you're familiar with the store.

but i just have no clue - so, what would you suggest.

today, i brought her home a bouquet of flowers so she doesn't expect anything tomorrow.

I don't really have my eye on anyone on this site - but there are a few sweethearts - that's for sure.

I don't think without getting to know someone first, you can determine whether you like them or not - some people who put out a hard front, have a soft side that you won't see unless you give them the time of day.

But if you don't like someone, romantically but they like you, then you do have to be upfront and honest, and tell them that you don't, otherwise that could lead to someone getting hurt.

I think you should tell someone if you like them, if the moment is right.. Theres nothing worse than getting that bomb dropped at a bad time. I think that if you do like them though, obviously you should go for it, instead of wondering what could have been.

Don't like them in the manner of you could never see yourself with them? or you just simply don't like them?

It's probably been said multiples times, but for my own satisfaction I'm going to say all 'they're', 'their' and 'there'.

It really bugs me when people use the wrong one.

Hahah.. If I wasn't so fired up right now, and I would have read this an hour ago - I wouldn't have touched them.

My sister is pretty clear on my feelings with her.. haha, and she feels the same way - I don't think they'll be hanging out anymore.. which is good - now my sister can move on in her life, and not be held back by someone going no where - and I say that with confidence because she actually has nothing and no where to go.
