To me, taking it slow is respecting each other's boundaries until those walls we've built for years start to come down.
Sometimes this happens quickly and love rushes in; sometimes it takes a little while but is well worth the journey. The pace is set by communicating effectively with each other and learning to trust what you are feeling. I'm sure it's different for everyone...just like the wonderful experience of falling in love!

I'm new to all this and find all your opinions very interesting. I don't know what the future holds, but I have learned over the years that no matter what the circumstances, if I love someone I'm going to tell them.
I held so many feelings back for so many years that I refuse to do that ever again. Does it mean I might get hurt? Sure, but if I really love someone I'm willing to take that chance. Life is to short to play it safe in my opinion. |
