One day in the future, OJ Simpson has a heart-attack and dies.

He immediately goes to hell, where the devil is waiting for him.

"I don't know what to do here," says the devil. "You are on my list, but I have no room for you. You definitely have to stay here, so I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I've got a couple of folks here who weren't quite as bad as you. I'll let one of them go, but you have to take their place. I'll even let YOU decide who leaves."

OJ thought that sounded pretty good, so the devil opened the door to the first room.

In it was Ted Kennedy and a large pool of water. Ted kept diving in, and surfacing, empty handed. Over, and over, and over he dove in and surfaced with nothing. Such was his fate in hell. "No," OJ said. "I don't think so. I'm not a good swimmer, and I don't think I could do that all day long."
The devil led him to the door of the next room.

In it was Al Gore with a sledgehammer and a room full of rocks. All he did was swing that hammer, time after time after time. "No, this is no good; I've got this problem with my shoulder. I would be in constant agony if all I could do was break rocks all day," commented OJ.

The devil opened a third door. Through it, OJ saw Bill Clinton, lying on the bed, his arms tied over his head, and his legs restrained in a spread-eagle pose. Bent over him was Monica Lewinsky, doing what she does best.
OJ looked at this in shocked disbelief, and finally said, "Yeah man, I can handle this."

The devil smiled and said . . . . . . .

(This is priceless)

"OK, Monica, you're free to go."

You are Wolf....I appreciate your insights. flowerforyou

Sharing our experiences and understanding the mistakes of the past is very healthy. I agree....don't linger, but take time to learn.

Probably wise, my friend!

So...in reference to the post, I'm still curious why guys (and gals) pull the vanishing act rather than tie up loose ends. No one has really explained that....

The good news is that all that "research" is about to pay off!flowerforyou Plus, it's fun to get out there and try people on...see if they fit. How else will you know when the right on comes along?

Thanks, Wize. laugh Unfortunately I think we can all relate.! frown

Austin and Shadow, you are men above men. Just last night I had "the talk" with a guy I'd been out with four times, telling him I'd met someone I think could really be special. It was hard and he wasn't very gracious, but it was the right thing to do!

And Wolfeyes, don't give up...she's out there, hun!

After just putting a friend back together who was devistated by the man she loved who just stopped calling, I have some advice for the guys out there....finish what you start!

If you have lost interest, if you can't do it anymore, if you found someone else...just tell us. You may think just cutting off communication is the easiest way (and it may be for you!) but do the honorable thing and just be honest! If it were me, I'd actually want to know what went wrong, to learn from it. You know, be adult about it!

Now I know some women can be drama queens and that each situation is different, but if you really think just pulling a vanishing act is the nicer way to handle it...it's not. This has been discussed with friends over many a cups of coffee, but most agree....we'd rather know than always wonder!

So, my advice is to finish what you start so each of you can start again...wiser and hopefully better!flowerforyou

(This goes for you girls too!!!)

Wow...625,000 miles? A solar system away??! I guess a 12 hour drive isn't that far in comparision, huh? Hummmmm...

HeartSoul...guys that say that stuff aren't interested in marriage or even a relationship. They're just playing the game...next!

Motevia....take some time to love yourself, hun. Find out who you are, learn to love and accept the amazing woman she is, then you will find the man who will love & treasure her too! Don't settle for anything less, girl!

But there ARE some honorable men out there! Thank goodness....there's still hope. flowerforyou

This has happened to me too, HeartSoul.

The ones I love are those that finally decided to accept that you ARE single, then follow up by saying something like:

"I did'nt believe you cause most men would marry you just to tap that every night!"noway Nice....

At that point I just thank them for proving my point that the dating...and gene pool...are a little limited!!
