wow, ag ... your like the torgo of anime here...so let me ask you this.. i finished watching bleach, just loved it, i even liked the Japanese versions better than the English versions (the voices sounded awful in the English versions, like they didn't even try to get the right people to voice it) so what is out there that is similar to bleach?

I would recommend you to watch SOUL EATER.

yup same recommendation here, and in addition :
- D.Gray-man
- Kekkaishi
- Shaman King
- HunterxHunter
- Rurouni Kenshin

And it's really different to watch with original voice, like Kenshin ... his "oro" disappear when dubbed. Voice Actor/Actress is one of the reason I still keep watch titles which have mediocre story.

They have two animes on Netflix I am seriously considering for my next view. Darker than Black or Gunslinger Girls, any recommendations?

both are good, but if u more into esper-action try DtB, well they have two season, DtB and DtB : Ryuusei no Gemini. But if u into drama, a little sad stories and gun-action, watch Gunslinger Girls, and look for Gunslinger 2nd Season, il-teatrino.

@veldt
wow that's a lot titles :thumbs up:
and yeah neon genesis is a must to watch for mecha-genre-fans, as NGE change the perspective about mecha genre, well of course Mobile Suit Gundam (Turn A, ZZ, V, OO, Wing, Seed and Seed Destiny)too.

Death Note, I think, one of the most famous title, both in anime and manga.

try this link,
http://www.nyaatorrents.org/?page=download&tid=161416
it's a torrent with all the episodes and subbed by [gg]. well i catch a glimpse of that series, about a few minutes of episode 1, and yeah it's awesome with all the zombie around, but don't know why my friends said that.

If u want something refreshing about zombie, try this title too, just now finished. "Kore wa Zombie desu ka?" this episode 1 link's torrent

well I've already downloaded the series, but somehow can't get enough time to watch it. but my friends told me that it has a lot of ecchi scenes more than the action or horror scene. still wondering it's true or not ... well i don't mind about ecchi scenes though lol

sorry I can't get any internet connection lately, so never visited the site.

@mmspritx
code geass is one of the mind-games anime, mixed with politics, and yeah that's one of the best in 2007 and 2008. Hope they will release CG3 cause in the ending there's a hint that lelouch still alive.

@callmehunter
sorry for the late reply. well if u into comedy, try to watch hayate the combat butler (Hayate no Gotoku), Ouran High School Host Club, Gintama, Katekyoushi Hitman Reborn, or the recent "Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka?" For action, try Requiem of Phantom, Shura no Toki (old series), or like despin says Fullmetal Alchemist.

@despin
yeah, Death Note really awesome, have u watch monster? I bet u will like it too.

well anime is actually have a wide range of genre, from action, adventure, drama, comedy, romance, sci-fi, and many more. not to mention, there a mix between these genres. So if I know ur favorite genre, maybe I can recommend one or two titles.

@chishio
gegege no kitaro ne. there's too many of them, well 6 tv series between 1968 until the most recent 2007, and more than 5 movies. and the bad thing is I never got even one of the series :(
and no i'm not yet an otaku. I mean I really love anime, and I even got about 4 - 5 TB in my hdd (it's hard to get an original dvd in my country). But the word "Otaku" seems too great for me lol, imo it's the same as a professor of anime.

Back in the early/mid 80's, there was a show on tv called "Force Five". In actuality, it wasn't one show, but five shown in rotation. When one series ended, the other would start form the begining. Neither were in any way associated with the others except for the fact that they were anime, and sci-fi based. The individual shows were:

Star Vengers (3 fighter jets formed a giant robot) aka. I believe was the original Robo Getter
Dangard Ace (a pilot trained to fly the Dangard Ace in the mission to the 10th planet in the solar system who's name escapes me)
Spaceketters (the three robot guardians, Aramis, Porthos, and Jesse Dart, strive to protect the incredibly skinny Princess on her mission to...somewhere. Hey, it's been a while. :) )
Grandizer (Orion Quest steals the Grandizer robot and hides on, and protects, Earth from...well, the bad guys)
Gai King (Gai King and the giant Space Dragon protect earth from the evil aliens. I see a theme)

It's pretty difficult for me to find anyone who's heard of this show, let alone watched it. I'm led to believe that it MAY only have been known as Force Five in the Toronto area.
So my question is if anyones else has ever watched, and if you had fond memories of it as did I?

Only got to see Getter Robo and Gaiking. Old Gaiking when I was at elementary school and the recently remake Gaiking a year ago.

I miss the funimation channel, i was getting it on a local HD channel for free midnight til 7AM. Then it was on most the weekend. They replaced it with home shopping almost a year ago. I heard b4 i can get it from Dish Network if i request it.

hope we can get funimation too in here or at least like funimation, so far I only watched fansubbed anime and a few anime in television, since they didn't air anime often in here, not to mention that the television translation were really bad.
