That sucks that it happened to you. I've learned to be incredibly suspicious of anyone claiming to be a widow with one child or perhaps another one the died early on. When I try to google their names in an address or town, it usually list another relative living with them, like the wife. They also promise me the moon and feel a strong connection to me and would I like to travel with them to Italy. Do I have the word, "loser" stamped on my head or what? Another guy that raised too many red flags have been reported to scam a woman out of her money. The fact that the guy was over 20 years younger than her should have tipped her off. Sad that people do this.
