This happened on a social network that I am currently subscribed to.
Recently I've been getting a few emails on "twitfacespace' from this girl sharing with me how much they absolutely loved my profile etc. I'll paste one below: I've changed the email addys to protect the inoc er guilty Oh, not to mention that profile and info there can only be seen by my friends O.o Hey Handsome, I just jumped into your profile now.. And believe me this is the greatest gift of my eyes sight today... I registered some days back but its my first time of sorting the website and decided to sort it a little bit and I found this beautiful profile... Anyway my name is "Insert name that no parent could have possibly inflicted on their child here" but you can call me ... I'm 5'9 and I am single mother with no kids ... I like to know something about you.. Could you please reply me back... So that we can share lot more about each other. U can even add me on blahblahblah@blah.com so that we can chat. Take care. - "the name sounds like spoiled food, trust me" . (Notice above, she decribes herself as a Single Mother with 'NO' kids. Oh that is rich! I blew soda out of my nose after reading that, I laughed so hard) My real name that you can't see haha September 5 at 2:36pm Hi, where are you from?? M . "Date scam script 3.0 wrote" September 5 at 6:24pm Report Oohh...thanks for your responds back to me and I found you very interesting because your message really motivated me, am from NY Brooklyn and I am deeply moved and very impressed by you. I think we seems to have alots in common and I must admit that you are very fun loving with great personality.i will be looking forward to hear back from you and hope you will give me your email address so that we can get to know each other more better....... WTH? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL OMG It would sure be refreshing sometimes if I got an email from somebody titled something like "Hi, I'm and idiot, read this because it won't make sense" or "If you're going to waste time on the web, why not waste time sending me money" At least it would be honest. Oh and this was reported as sent at 8:26PM their time and was recieved at 12:26 pm my time. From New York my ***. |

That sucks that it happened to you. I've learned to be incredibly suspicious of anyone claiming to be a widow with one child or perhaps another one the died early on. When I try to google their names in an address or town, it usually list another relative living with them, like the wife. They also promise me the moon and feel a strong connection to me and would I like to travel with them to Italy. Do I have the word, "loser" stamped on my head or what? Another guy that raised too many red flags have been reported to scam a woman out of her money. The fact that the guy was over 20 years younger than her should have tipped her off. Sad that people do this.
