I hate the waiting game! If I go out with someone, and I have a good time and enjoy being around them, then I tell them so! Nothing clingy or psycho...just..."hey...that was fun! I had a great time and would love to do it again!" Hopefully they agree and we decide on another date. If not, then oh well...at least I know not to waste anymore time or energy thinking about that person because they really aren't into me.

GAWD...I would hope that mine has not already come and gone! What an awful thought!  
Hopefully mine is yet to arrive and praying it lasts longer than an hour???!!!
 
I'm sure you would know no? Who knows?  How do you know that it was your "finest hour"? How can you ever really be sure that something even better is not waiting just around the corner??? All I know is that I sincerely hope I never recognize mine when it comes...because if you do recognize that this is "as good as it's gonna get" then where is the incentive to continue past that point?

I don't think people are always being fake. Like someone already said, we have different facets of our personality and will behave differently in a variety of situations. That's what dating is for. To get to know someone over a period of time. You have to see a person in different environments and situations before you really get to know them. Now if someone is flat out making things up about themselves, that's different. But it takes time to really know someone. You can't view it as a waste of time if you find out later that you are not compatible. Everyone who comes into our lives has something to offer and something to teach us. Even if it just helps us realize what we don't want. 
And then there are those who after 10 years you realize you didn't know AT ALL!
