This is ridiculous
the fact is that smoking IS bad
whether you smoke it from the stick
inhale it second hand
or even off the clothes of smokers
the ban is good
and i also agree that it should be the smokers who are forced to go elsewhere to smoke.
non smokers don't increase cancer risks nor do they increase the risk of death or heart disease.
it doesn't matter what the initial arguments were to GET the bans enforced.
and it doesn't matter that they infringe on the 'rights' of smokers.
i smoked....quit 6 years ago...best think i ever did. hardest too.

BUT when i DID smoke i respected others around me and would again if need be.

*sits back and covers head waiting for the lashes*

ur right smoking cigarettes is bad for you. so you shoudl respect others around you. but it should no be banned. if people want to smoke they should be allowed to, in their car, in a bar where smoking is permitted- and a sign to let people know if u dont like smoking- dont ****ing come in and start complaining go to a bar where there is none.

i dont smoke cigarettes anymore either because theyre bad for you, but ****, they dont ban alcohol and thats bad for you.

and it doesn't matter that they infringe on the 'rights' of smokers.---- it always matters when you infringe on the rights of others- ALWAYS.

I wish I had a time machine to send you back to Nazi Germany. I think you would change your mind about thniking America is anything close to a tyrannical dictatorship. You are blessed to live here. You're just too young to know it.

You don't have to go nearly that far, or far back to see tyrannical dictatorships. Most countries in the WORLD draft civilians to serve in the military. And most don't get body armor, vehicles, good weaponry or even fed. And you get "out" when you're dead.

Lots of African and Central Asian countries just have guys come around and chop off your wife and kids heads, arms, feet if you don't serve whichever nut is needing gun-hands. Or if you do.

I suppose ignorance is bliss and youth are 99% blissful these days. At the risk of sounding like an old kook, if you think America is mistreating you...move somewhere else. You'll be BEGGING to get back in. Betcha!

Oh yeah, the whole "IF U DONT LIKE AMERUCUH THEN U CAN MOVE OKAY" argument. You don't know me, you don't know who I am, you don't even know half of the crap I do despite your age. I come from a military family, and my f'ing brother in law is in Afghanistan right now, so piss off with your general assumptions and stop disrespecting the truth which I speak.

CONSCRIPTION/DRAFT = SLAVERY. Get it through your head. If you don't believe that, you are an agent of tyranny and are not a true American. REAL Americans don't run around like chickens trying to find ways to serve their government, REAL Americans question their government and executive power because they know that the government is an inherently evil force and is easily corruptible.

You have been warned.

people shouldnt be afraid of their government, the govt should be afraid of the people

Are you kidding? It's exactly what we need to protect American values.

Oh wait... no, it's more like Chinese, Russian and Iranian values.

no reason to reinstate a draft.
if they reinstated a draft, u would be seeing mass riots lol.

u shouldnt force people to do something they dont want to do.

i agree that everyone should do some type of service for their community/country whether it be americorps or the peace corps, but fighting is just not what some people want to do, nor should be forced to.

well i would hardly generalize women like that.

i dont know why they dont realize the soil benefits growing marijuana does for the ground. in fact i think it was required at a time to grow pot in virginia to add nutrients to the soil every 3rd cycle

What do you want to know?

As for the differences, here is the only difference there is: Communist has balls to come and take, what a socialist is only salivating about. Other than this, there is none. Both ideas are born by murderers, and carried by dumb followers who believe in something for nothing.

you might want to try knowing a thing or to about them. communism is a political system, while socialism is an economic read my post above

Socialism is where everyone would share the benefits of industrialization. Workers would do better than in the English system at the time because there were more workers than bosses and the majority would rule. As a purely economic system, socialism is a lousy way to run a large scale economy. Socialism is not a political system, it's a way of distributing goods and services. Socialism is liberal. As Marx says, "democracy is the road to Socialism"

Communism is conservative. Fewer and fewer people have any say in how the economy works.

A common mistake is to confuse Socialism, the economic system, with Communism, the political system. Communists are "socialist" in the same way that Republicans are "compassionate conservatives". That is, they give lip service to ideals they have no intention of practicing.

Communism, or "scientific socialism", has very little to do with Marx. Communism was originally envisioned by Marx and Engels as the last stages of their socialist revolution.

At their ideal implementation, socialism and laissez faire capitalism will be identical as everyone will produce exactly what's needed for exactly who needs it. In practice, both work sometimes in microeconomic conditions but fail miserably when applied to national and international economies. And they fail for the same reason: Human pervserity. Too many people don't like to play fair, and both systems only work when everyone follow the same rules.

What is so taboo about marijuana? Why does it have to be illegal? And even so, why are people so judgmental about people who do it. Most of the people who are, are alcoholics who could get a dui and kill people. -(and yes i realize this statement is a generalization against people who dislike pot smokers) You can't overdose on pot, well you can but its near impossible you'd have to smoke like 1,000 some joints a day, which isnt even possible. Alcohol you can.

I just hate the stereotype that comes with smoking pot. I smoke, and I got a 3.8 in high school and a 3.8 in college, and I'll have my bachelor's in June. It's not like I live in my mom's basement and play W.O.W. all day.

If you don't like it- that's fine, but theres no reason for people who don't like to assume the people who do use it, are worthless dumbasses.

Quit hating!

Aragon was a good one that come out recently.

Eragon was atrocious. One of the worst films of all time lol. Not only does it ruin the books, but they wont ever make a sequel of this movie bc it bombed so badly and was so terrible in every aspect of filming: directing, cinematography, narrative, editing. just horrid

Uh huh. Well...to each their own I suppose.

The only real issue I had with the movies was that it wasn't exceptionally well written. Other than that, it wasn't all that bad.

I have never read the books so I wouldn't know how badly they hacked them up.

One thing I have learned is to never watch a movie that is based on a book or series of books I have read.

The only movies I have ever seen that hold up to the books were The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption.

yeah it was horribly written. lol thats the problem. and the director does not know how to direct- the actors sucked. i mean and i was very disappointed in jeremy irons bc usually he holds his own.

the best actor/actress was rachel weis as the dragon.

i enjoyed zack snyder's remake of dawn of the dead but it was no where near as good as romero's. i didnt like the fast zombie. zombie's arent fast. they just arent.

usually any horror that comes out now is a remake of some japanese horror movie, and the japanese version is so much better lol.

i have yet to see a horror remake that has been excellent
