There are many Christians, indeed, but we all don't believe EXACTLY the same things.

I certainly don't agree with that: God loves you ONLY IF you believe. Sounds to much like a human being's love. God loves all, regardless. That was proven with Jesus' death.

God has already proven that he loves you by Jesus' death on the cross, which has washed your sins away already.

I am reading it now, among others. I like it. Very thought provoking as one poster has already stated. It may not be too illuminating, but it's not a bad book at all.

The bible can be opened up and its verses referenced to justify a point. We all do it. However, I think God is much deeper than that. God, I believe, really wants us to use the brain we were given and think deeply about things. I could just as easily point to 1Corinthians 15:22 and say that everyone will be saved, which I do believe we already have been, despite other verses that speak the contrary.

corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all will die, even so in christ shall be saved.

Yes people that disobey God like Adam did will die, but people that follow christ shall be saved

For as in adam all will die = people who do as adam did will die.
Even so in christ shall be save = people who do as Jesus did shall be saved

I don't think that you quoted that verse in its entirety. You left out a key word, "All".

Holy photoshop Batman!!!!

You may be right, Robin, but a lot of singers are photoshopped, arent' they? However, not all sound as good as Donna Summer does at age 61.

I believe Jesus died my sins as well as for the sins of the world and, therefore, we are all saved because of what Jesus did. I am far from perfect, but after much thought, study, and consideration of the character of God as presented in the OT vs. the character of Jesus in the NT, I believe they both are not at odds with one another and they have the same vision and intent. I believe all are saved because of God's unconditional love(that means no conditions) and God's gift of grace (that means, to me, freely given and nothing required on our part to earn it). Yes, I could be wrong, but like anyone who has faith in what they believe in, I believe what I believe because it makes sense to me and my perception of God's character. And, based on what I believe, THAT is what God's love is: It continues to love you so much regardless of what you have done or may do. It wants you to realize your wrongs and admit them. True love is patient and it remains with you until you get it right. No matter how long it takes for you to get it right. Love dies for you even while you are still sinning. Love does not say it loves you and when you get it wrong, love abandons you for dead. God's love is quite the opposite of human, fleshly love. My very humble opinion, of course. Love forgives over and over and over and over. And, again, God's love is unconditional. If there are ANY conditions to God loving us, that makes God's love conditional and, therefore, based on things we do or don't do. I don't believe God loves us that way. Humans may, but not God. If God's love is indescribable. If it is so wide and so deep that it cannot be fathomed or understood, THAT is not like human love. It's better than human love and, in my mind, unconditional. Whereas, a lot of the time, a human's love is conditional. God's love is higher than ours.

Very few songs make me cry, but I have cried. Let's see:

- YOU ARE LOVED (DON'T GIVE UP) by JOSH GROBAN - This song made me cry because, generally speaking, we all just want to be loved. As a gay man though, I have often been told that I am hell bound and, therefore, not really loved by God. I disagree with all of that, but it does cross my mind when I sometimes listen to this song with headphones on with my eyes closed.

- NOTE TO GOD by CHARICE - This song has made me cry becasue I love God and it's an emotional song and I believe every word written in this song.

- Be MYSELF, AGAIN - by DONNA SUMMMER - As a long time Donna Summer fan, this song made me cry because I feel for Donna as she's singing this song which is about her losing sight of who she really is due to fame. She loves her fans and appreciates us sticking with her for all of these years. She didn't want to let us down while not wanting to lose herself in the process.

Those are all I can think of at the moment.

Who here likes Donna Summer as much as I do? Okay, probably no one, but who likes Donna Summer? Her birthday was on New Year's Eve and she's now 61 years old, but her voice is still awesome. Better than Whitney Houston's, I might add (smile).

Is that why you smile like that?

I actually thought about that when I posted the Donna pic, but I'm sure I'm not thinking about Donna Summer when I'm taking a pic. LOL.
