I really do like all this. Everyone is so, pro-active to helping. Its really giving me a new perspective on how I see it panning out now.

(Plus its giving me a perception on how to get rid of the 'ex-blues' so to speak)

I got a cellphone aged 16, and my sister was 13. I still use pay as you go myself, and have always done so, in the sense of emergency. At least this way with a few perks of cellphone service provider I can use it to my benefit to assist greatly in lots of things I do :D

I must say that as an aspiring self-taught musician, I cannot personally choose between two majorly contrasting acts.

I have heard far more of the beatles works, so therefore I would be biased to choose them over KISS in the outset, but I then need to listen to more KISS music to pass any sort of judgement.

I may like their stuff, I may not, but until I have listened I will reserve my overall comment on this one.

Plus I can understand there are so many manipulations that can be done even with the same chord pattern and structure, which is why a number of covers are successful (or even songs borrowing part of another song)

Tinchy Stryder's latest song that I've heard -> has taken something from Olive's You're Not Alone

Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby - took a simple bassline from Queen and David Bowie's Under Pressure

Then Covers - say it all. Different styled artists trying to reproduce a previous work of musical art is a let down to current mainstream pop/rock works, in as much as originality is slowly dwindling away. Come on people, creation!

Life is too short to worry. Have a few dates, and if things don't work out, you don't have to disclose any information you do not wish to.

Clear my families debts. Invest some into a trust fund for my son. And then donate some to my dad's 2nd wife's charity, before embarking on a bit of retail therapy. A holiday here, a crash course in driving there, and also some sound engineering course somewhere. Ok, there's a lot there, but i'm sure i'd come to some arrangement with myself.

I wouldn't mind a moustache or a bit of stubble, but working in a hotel kitchen that is restricted lol. Thanks for the useful tips. I just need a bit of an ego in a way lol.

Personally I do not think that you're age has anything to do with it. I believe that no matter how bad it gets, there is more than likely someone out there that you find appealing and vice versa. Do not rush into anything, as people have found that they can find happiness in later life. My dad walked out on my mum @ 40, took stock of life, and by the time 5 years had passed, he'd found someone else he connected with, (ok so he's now remarried and has been for 7 years). This goes to show that age is just a number and how people are perceived is what stops them being themselves. Be yourself, and the possibilities are endless.

Well I must say. Thats a lot of information for me to have to get my head around. But I daresay I will be looking to make some strides into doing something about it :)

True, a bit of practice usually helps develop a beginners attitude to things. I implement that in my music daily.. haha.

Being nervous whilst i'm out frequently on my own, I often freeze.

Going up to someone and striking a conversation up sounds so simple, but I still find it a challenge.

I am pretty sure that they have either realised what they've lost, or just simply cannot find the courage within to let the past be the past and let life carry them on a different path to you.

Keep the ignore button on, yes, a wise choice of words, but I would also suggest pointing out to them, life is short, don't waste your time trying to get back with me because it aint gonna happen. If you persist I will not hesitate in taking further action against you. (but of course, have a witness alongside, and a rough sketched note of what you have said and what he has replied). That should shake him up to realise his actions are only likely to damage his future, as you are already further on.

And as for approaching 30's and enjoying life, that's what it really is about. How much enjoyment you get out of life is down to honest hard work and a pleasant nature, both of which I am severely inclined to believe, even at this early stage of leaving a post on one thread of yours.

In the world of dating, I am a total amateur. The people I have tried relationships with before I have known in some context before getting to be with them.

I have a mild self-esteem issue, partly to do with my lack of a smile (but I am in the middle of trying to sort out my dental issues), and partly to do with the fact that if I go out any place, I find myself frequently on my own.

Ok, so I know people there, but approaching young women (those around my age group I would guess at, but there is no tangible way of meeting a complete stranger and knowing exactly how old they are, without asking), is something I find a rather daunting task, considering what people have said about me and my looks in the past (yes, quite a number of laughed off rejections).

I wonder if I could ask for what I might need to consider doing in order to change a few things?

If that is the case, what is the drink? lol
