I WAS A VICTIM OF A SCAM

Angie, I have found an online support group that is awesome for victims of these scammers. Email me if you want to know about it.

The Nigerian scammer that I was in contact with was not from Mingle2. In fact, he came up as a match on a paid site. One of the moderators told me this morning that I am not supposed to give the names of the websites, which is why I suggested that people email me if they wanted to know more. Especially if they want to know about the support group that I have found for victims of romance scams. I am so glad to read the posts that tell me not everyone is as naive as I have been recently. But now I know and was simply passing on info to anyone is an unsuspecting person as I was. Faith

Hi everybody, I just want to pass on some information I have found out recently. Scammers are everywhere. Please be very careful and never agree to send someone money, cash checks or money orders, or reship merchandise. If you want to know more about what I a talking about, just drop me an email and I will give you the resources I have found.
Why am I even posting this topic? Because last week I almost fell victim to a scam. The person claimed to be here in the states working, but after several suspicious comments and other things that pointed to the likelihood that I was dealing with a scammer. Well, I finally ran the IP address and to my surprise the emails had orginated out of Nigeria and my dream man was a scammer. If you want to know how to obtain an IP address or any other questions, I will answer the best I can. If you need resources and links, then drop me an email. Let's all be safe and keep our money in our pockets. Faith: |
