I tend to think I know what songs are about, though often I don't!
![]() I was just reading about one of my favorite songs, "It Ends Tonight" by the All American Rejects. It seems to be about a break-up with a girl, with lines like: "Your subtleties They strangle me I can't explain myself at all And all that wants And all that needs All I don't want to need at all" Apparently it's not about a girl, but conflict with a male friend.Even more interesting than that, though, is that this song is one of All American Rejects' biggest hits and might not have been written if the band's manager hadn't pushed them to keep writing even when they thought they had enough songs for an album. Goes to show you.. sometimes the things created under pressure and deadlines can be your best work! |

New technology is much better. In the past, women had to spend way too much time washing clothes by hand. Now instead they can spend that time cooking more, and taking better care of their man. ![]() Not to mention that we benefit from new technology because we get to laugh at Breaking Good (and people like him). In the past, they would have to limit their audience for their humor to whoever happened to be in the room. ![]() |

This is a good definition of superstition: "Superstition is the belief in supernatural causality—that one event causes another without any natural process linking the two events."
One of mine: I can not throw away printed photographs because I believe it will cause something bad to happen to the people in the photo. I don't have any problem deleting digital photos though. ![]() Which superstitions, or supernatural causalities, do you believe? |
