* * * What kind of a designer designs an unmanageable system?

A hundred galaxies hasn't been enough!

Thousands of galaxies? Millions of galaxies?

The designer got carried away... and created an Infinity of galaxies (for it's own amusement) -- each one with billions of stars and zillions of planets... All the while, the designer populates some of those planets with billions of living creatures, all of whom demand the designer's attention...

If I'd been a designer, I'D QUIT!!!

_______________ :sigh: ______________

I already quit a long time ago......laugh .
But why not designers instead of a single, sole designer ?.
Like blue prints used in technology .
The problem is who designed those designers or that sole designer...?.
frustrated frustrated .

Consciousness is ill defined in any colloquial sense. In cognitive research it is defined by the attributes of cognition.

Water does not have cognitive capabilities so by any scientific definition, the answer would be no.

Agreed .

It is fair to say in order to have intelligent things they must be started by more intelligent factors . Therefore humans were found by something or some things more intelligent than them . Intelligence can not just pops up and starts a life from zero thing .

Billy Carter was a drunk, big deal, hell yes the USA is that bad, I'm thinking about going overseas to get a job, the pay is probably better too....The only problem with Obama is his big mouth, he's a smooth talker with oratory skills out of this world, but he made astronomical promises that can't be kept, however it won't be from lack of trying....still though he is far too inexperienced for the job, but give him credit, he surrounded himself with great people, is it enough...we'll know in a few years......My only pet peeve with him is, joining Oprah (well she got him elected, lmao) in the olympics venture and going on all these late night talk shows and charging it to the tax payer, plus he's getting paid for his appearences, maybe that time could be best spent winning the war, no not the one in afganistan or Iraq, the one here, poverty and kids killing each other over street corners.

Great people ?.
The first time in the US history a president left the precedent defence secretary and his name is the Bush picked Robert Gates.....also the neo cons are still controlling the political agenda .
Great people ?.

The problem with the media is the fact that they do not represent the people but they work and support the Administration in any path it goes like the blind following the blind even towards a huge precipice .

Love might be blind but lust has perfect visiondevil

Love is not blind because it has tons of reasons .
You can not just love someone for no reason at all .

Myself, I strongly dislike being called hun, sweetie, darlin, or any other pet names .

sounds like a bar whore is talking to me....

I see nothing wrong with hun, sweetie, darling,.....and they are not pet names . These words show warmth and affection .

oops offtopic Ok, first off... Krups has the coolest pics...

now back to the point...

I think they are only offended, if they think your a jerk or an ***... it's all in the woman's perspective...

you know, if they are attracted to you, it's going to be taken in a positive light... if they think your a piece of ****... your an *** for saying it!! (please excuse the language kiddies...)...

rofl drinker

Totally agree with you, but it also seems to depend on where you're from as well. I have noticed within the south as far as Texas, Alabama and Georgia they seem to use those terms more loosely. Not to offend others but due to that is how they were raised with the words. But now in some states others are offended by them.

But regardless if your dealing with someone everyday then it is okay but you never use those terms when it comes to business or those that you do not deal with in a day to day bases or friends.

So I can see what some are saying that they do not like it for me even been raised in Texas I have found those that are from Alabama and Georgia use those terms more then we do. At first yeah it bothered me but I have learned they don't mean anything by it but only being friendly....bigsmile

In some parts of Britain peole say " thank you love " and ....love...love all the time even when they never saw you before .

Read through the posts...intolerance is such an ugly thing, eh? Some folks need to get out more...and accept the fact that maybe - just maybe - they aren't universally right in everything they say.laugh

There is no obligation to tolerance within someone’s personal boundaries. People either respect boundaries or they don’t.

Some may venture to guess a person would be acting like a jerk if they assumed they could act anyway they wished around strangers.

There is no obligation to tolerance when discussion such a supercilious topic anyway.

Do unto others is a wonderful thing to live by. Part of doing that is asking someone how they wish to be addressed. I was told to never assume how I should address someone (last name, first name, Miss, Mrs, Mr, etc). My father taught me that when I learned to speak. I was also brought up that I should never, ever be too familiar without someone I don’t know by calling them a nickname. My father was born in Georgia and raised in Texas; he was the father of manners.

If I reach the point where I ask a person how I should address her I am sure she is not worth knowing . Being myself is the best policy regardless to what others think because I do not want to change anyone and certainly I do not want to change myself for anyone .
To pretend to say what I do not mean is just not me .

What??

When you meet a business associate, you think they are not worth knowing if they prefer you to address them a certain way? Your boss? Your friend's grandmother whom you've never met? That is disrespectful. YOU don't dictate how people wished to be addressed.

You can be yourself but when you first meet someone and shake hands -- don't you ask, "what is your name?" slaphead If they say, “Call me Ms. Jones”, do you say, "Well, that's not me so I'll call you "hon". slaphead

I am talking about Mingle2 which is a dating, social site . I am not talking about other places and other circumstances . I hope we are not comparing apples to oranges .

It's still rude in a social situation to assume a person's nickname or name until you are introduced properly. Website or not, when you meet someone, an introduction is the minimum of manners.

Why should it be any different if you met a person here or at the store?

At the store, you would approach them and say (something like), "Excuse me, I am Brian." and extend your hand.

If you email a stranger, why wouldn't you formulate some type of introduction as well? It shows class and it's polite. Gawd forbid a person shows any of those qualities! scared

I digress. I've made my point and I will continue my way, as you will your way.

I delete all emails when the person calls me unintelligent nicknames, doesn’t introduce himself, and doesn't bother to ask mine.

Enjoy your night. flowerforyou

I did not know you are miss manners.......laugh laugh .
Honestly people just do not think like YOU in general .
We are in 2009 .
You made your points but saying people are rude is something else .
