actually speaking for myself..the idea that a Jesus character was an important story for all these cultures in all these times only reenforces the importance of the message...I dont think they were trying to destroy ...only clarifying the myth..

I thought the beginning of the film was incredibly interesting as it showed how myth is created and used as a tool to control people...and I think the one comment that 100 million people believe we are currently in the "end times" deserves much discussion...wonder what Joseph Campbell would have to say about todays events...

The film did end on a positive note reminding us that we are special, powerful beings that have the potential to create a world of love...this idea should not conflict with anyones religious views...

and what history tells us is that we cannot control their destiny...hence...get the hell outta there now...

a few years ago the president of spain tried to implement marshal law..the
people filled the streets in protest...2 million in Madrid alone if I remember right..
also they held a general strike...not everyone participated...but many did...
result...the president was out...the new president got them out of Iraq/Aphgan
immediately...

there is a general strike being talked about for the impeachment of Bush/.Cheney...
sept 11th this year...course we are not as passionate as they were I suspect...
