I have been fortunate enough not to spend the past 24 years alone. That's what having children does for you. :)

But I have spent almost every one without a special partner to share TG day with us. So, to those who will be alone tomorrow...you're not really alone. I'm thinking about you. So, who's coming tomorrow for dinner? I've get plenty!

Depending on your schedule during the day, you might be prone to falling asleep! It's the soothing voice of someone that can do it. Take it as a compliment!

My ex used to want me to talk up to 3 hours with him while he was on the road. I couldn't help falling asleep with him! It was not his soothing voice!

Just let her know how you're feeling about this. I'm sure she'll understand.

In all fairness to mothers across the globe, I do understand what you're wanting to do. My oldest son is 24 and I would probably try and do something to get him to see that there are other woman on this Earth.

However, you are in a position of creating either a good or bad experience for him here. You enjoy it, and he may not feel the same. It may cause him to feel uncomfortable.

As for the statement csi of marriage meaning "for better or for worse"...nowhere in the marriage vows does it say that we have to stay in a marriage regardless of what our partner does. I agree that two wrongs don't make a right. When my ex's...yes plural cheated on me, I did not return the favor. I have too much pride to let them or others talk about me. I have self respect. I don't remember getting married and having the Judge say, "but if he cheats on you, you still have to stay, because I said". No one should sacrifice their own happiness for that lifestyle.

Again, mother's are suppose to "meddle", but we need to be more descrete about how we handle things. Pressure from you and others may be overwhelming and cause him, out of loyalty, to make additional bad choices.

Mom, allow him to grow. I see you're trying. Good luck to him.

The norm is family and friends...but this holiday I am especially grateful for the love of a wonderful man so that we may all share this day together. I'm grateful that I am still on this Earth to enjoy this holiday with my children. I am grateful that they are happy and healthy. I am grateful for life.
