Can we fill the arena with flesh eating ants? THAT is something I'd pay

GUN CONTROL ! NOT.

I don't need a "bigger" gun. It only takes one bullet to kill someone.
What I want is more PEOPLE. "Me vs. psycho"- let's just say 50/50 chance. Although I'm good with a gun, so it may be higher in my favor, there's many other people who won't be good. So whomever the "me" is could change and thus the odds are never fixed. Or "me, this other guy, that chick, and someone else vs. psycho"- which gives one of us a guarenteed hit and kill. Hopefully, and probably, before any of us die in the process. |

First of all. America doesn't even use a TENTH of her viable, prepared
farmland. America, alone, at maximum production- could put food on the plate of ever last living human on earth. No human being in all six billion would ever need fear starvation. And tariffs are taxes placed on incoming good from other countries. They're far lower than the compensory rates of our workers. As to the immigration laws. They're ok for most of the world. But they're painfully discriminate against hispanics, africans, and (now) middle-easterners. Basically, if you're asian or white, you'll be welcomed happily. If you've got any kind of permament tan- you'll have troubles. |

Wouldn't need to take a hard line on the taxes. The tariff laws would
do my work for me. As to the Tesla field- anything large enough to protect anything larger than a small building would cause so much environmental damage that we'd be better off dropping a nuke on ourselves. |

Ok, now you're just being insulting.
I asked a real, valid question. I want a real, valid answer. It's just that simple. |

I did say *WAAAY* ancient Rome. But rome wasn't always a barbarian
land, and Alexander the Great innedvertently brought back zaostristic philosophies. They stuck around for a while. Oh, yes, judaism and christianity borrowed heavily from the area. Judaism was born in the area of ancient babylon. This is especially evident in the stories of Angelic beings, and in many of the ancient biblical events. Samson, Soddom and Ghamora, the Great Flood.... all these are ancient Babylonian stories, too. As to christianity, in its attempt to spread into europe, it adopted a lot of the local customs. Including just about every holiday it practices. And since when was learning more about the ancient heritage of religions a "tangent" when talking about non-christian faiths? |

Bush is an incompetent SOB. There, publicly denounced.

Agreed. Adore this country for the freedom.
I don't think the guy's going to give me my apology, however much I deserve it. |

And for semantic's sake- a "branch" is a religion that actually became
a new religion, and not just a sect. Such as Christianity and Islam off of Judaism. And like Mormonism is approaching a class as. |

You're still not addressing my questions. I'm sorry you don't have an
answer, but don't play it off like I'm wrong. I have no problem with evolution as a tool. I'm just saying that evolution, alone, could not have created certain traits on earth. Winged flight is one major example (except maybe in the case of insects). But in anything else. |

My teacher said Buddhism is CONSIDERED a religion by the scientific
definitions- whereas taoism didn't quite make the grade. Not a perfect system, but good enough. He was buddhist Indian, by heritage. Did a visit into America for college, and decided to get citizenship. I forget what buddhist sect he was.... whichever is most common in India, I'd presume. Oh, and Judaism did evolve from Zaostrism. Which started in ancient rome (WAAAY) ancient rome. It then moved southeast into babylon. It merged with the ancient Israelite culture and then birthed Judaism. Just as Zaostrism moved north and formed my religion. And moved southwest into Egypt- that religion didn't do so well, and died. As did all the other branches. |

yeah ok, so you study its part of your spirituality, hows about a litle insight. I like many others who have read and will continue to read this thread will lok at what you have said and scratch our heads in regards to your own religion. Ive tried to do some research (albeit hasty) from what i have gathered it was tarted by a persain and most of iran had the same belief before being "convinced" to change by the shiite. Well, I didn't give too much on my religion, individually. I mentioned that it originated from Zaostrism. Which is true. Judaism did as well. But good luck finding much on Arirans. I've looked. Even on the internet, I can't find ANYTHING worth mentioning in english. So unless you have the time to learn an almost dead language, we're at an impass. You'd be much better off simply looking for the geographical locations of pre-roman religions in the area around modern Poland for that sorta stuff. It's a start. Ok, so saying what is and isn't per se is a bit of an iffy point, for sure. But I was using the (internationally) accepted scientific names for the various classes, just for the sake of avoiding confusion. Certain common traits of each one. Nothing ever fits perfectly- like trying to define "love"- but we still need a word for it. |

You know, I hate it when sec/prog liberals try to rewrite history to
deny christianity's influence on America's origins. Nothing to do with christianity, just a general distaste for people who like to do that sorta thing. We're built off christian values. Not just the basic "10 commandments" old testament stuff (which is a good thing.... Jesus' teaching of tolerance and human forgiveness and dignity really soften that old school annihilation of civilizations stuff). |

Oh. Fair enough. I'd love to hear the list. Although Zaoastrus
(zarathustra by some translations- you'd probably be better off using that name for the function of searching online). Would be a mutual prophet for Arirans and Judaism. And, ironically, neither religion actually acknowleges him. |

I hate it when people make up stuff about religions. For positive or
negative. It's just one of my favorite pet peeves. AB stated "9 of them". I listed far more than nine ancient religions. Then got some tangents. But, the study of religions in history is part of my spirituality. We believe that all religions are at least fragments of the truth. Learn the faith, and learn its history, that you might understand the Creator better. Including finding real practicioners of each, when possible. And not the "converts". I mean the ones who've had family that practiced, and so on- a real history. As well, of course, as the scientific study of religion (aka- theology).... in fact, my theology teacher was buddhist. I have a physical copy of the Pali Canon (translated into spanish, for some odd reason). |

*sigh*
Love your sources. But the information is hardly relevant. We've been using (republicans and democrats alike) independent contractors forever. And there's NEVER been a war that cost less than expected. This isn't surprising, this isn't criminal, this is just the facts of life in the modern military. |

Oh- and the "signs" in the outer system aren't signs of life. They're
signs of tectonic behavior and liquid water. Which would give life a chance of existing. But it's not actually evidence of life. Of course, if not in this solar system, then alien life is out there somewhere else, so it's really only a matter of time. |

Abra- you're forgetting- yours is an "affirmative" theory. You have to
prove me wrong. I place my challenges. Unless your theory can prove it's still true under all conditions, it's not a true theory. In fact, I could pose ANY claim. I could claim that "fur is evolutionarily detrimental"- and you'd have to prove it is not. Of course, that's an easy one. What I've posed, you've not explained. And until someone can, that means the theory is incomplete and, therefor, innacurate. |

They could tell you, but then they'd have to kill you. And your lawyer.
That's the one real joke I've told in a serious thread. |

Why do you keep saying I love Bush. I don't. And I consider your
statement an insult for which I deserve a public apology. |
