I wrote this story a few years ago. Little different than the one I just posted, I know its not Mother's Day but... Hope it means something to everyone. Have a good night everyone



A Mother's Day Story

"Happy Mother's Day, mom. I just wanted to tell you that I love you and no matter where I am and where you are that you are always in my heart. You were such an inspiration to me, even in the times I pretended not to care."

Lisa wiped at the tears making silent paths down her cheeks before speaking again.

"I just wanted to tell you how much you meant to me. I've tried to raise my kids the same way you raised me, with a firm hand and a gentle heart. I know I disappointed you when I was younger and I'm sorry; I am so sorry for all the wrong I did and for disobeying you. I'm glad you could always forgive me, and that no matter what, you always let me know that you loved me. Thank you for taking me to church every Sunday, even during the times I didn't want to go. Thank you for being there when I was sick and for working long hours when I needed an extra dress or new shoes. Thank you for always having food on the table, no matter how long of a day you had."

"Tim, settle down, I'm talking to your grandmother," Lisa said before continuing. "Mom, do you remember the time you drove me to school every day so I could finish the year with my friends? You never once complained you were always happy to do it, always giving of yourself; you were the best mother a person could have. Thank you so much for everything you did."

Pulling another tissue from her purse, Lisa wiped her eyes again. "Mom...this is hard for me to say, but I am so sorry for anything I ever did to hurt you. I'm sorry for the times I yelled at you because I didn't have my way, for all the times I lied to you and stayed out late. You worried about me and I didn't do anything but think of myself and I am so sorry for that. People tell me all the time that it's never too late to say you're sorry... but I think I waited too long. I think that sometimes it is a little too late to say I love you. I'm sorry that I waited too long...way too long, but I still want you to know. I just want you to know how I feel," Lisa whispered the last words as she bent down and gently laid a rose upon her mother's grave. As she stood up she took her son's hand before turning and walking away.

Ok, I'm new here. Don't know anyone at all but I saw creative writing and figured I'd post cause I love to write and have been writing since I was very young. This story is one I wrote a few years ago about my ex-girlfriend. Hope it makes everyone smile and hope everyone has a great night.


First Love Story

Hand in hand, Eric and Misty stroll along the edge of the riverbank. They stop to rest on a bench.

"Eric, you know that I love the way you hold me. You always bring me flowers and tell me how much you love me. But its not enough."

"What do you mean?" Eric asks.

"Well", Misty sighs, "I just want to be surprised. I mean... yes you surprise me with flowers, but you ALWAYS surprise me with flowers. I just want you to do something totally different."

Eric puts his arm around Misty. Pulling her close, he kisses her passionately. "Mmmm... that was nice Eric. It really was. But that kiss didn't surprise me. I want to be surprised...really surprised," Misty complains.

"I think I understand," Eric whispers as he wraps both arms around Misty, picks her up, and throws her in the river.
