I had a very similar situation many years back. I dated her about 5 years, lived with her 3 of those years and we decided together to move to another state. We got all packed and I had to start the new job so I left and she was gonna meet me there a week later after she buttoned up some things. Never heard or saw her again. All I can tell you is what not to do:

1. Don't start drinking heavily and think beer or whiskey will make it go away. It does for the night to tell you the truth, but her memory is still there the next day.
2. Don't find a rebound. Its not fair to her or you for that matter
3. Don't try to find her.

Brother, its going probably going to hurt for awhile and there is no way around it. Try immerse yourself into hobbies or work as only time is going to heal you.

I think that most guys don't make any bones about it. If we like you, we'll let you know. Woman on the other hand seem to be more protective about their feelings.

I'm with Romee...if someone has a crush on me I'd like to know. I don't think I'd be able to tell unless I got hit dead smack in the forehead with it.
