I feel sorry for Bush. I think he just was undereducated for the position,, was permitted to take on too much, with FAR too much ego and far too little EDUCATION or COMMON SENSE to back it up... I think things will work out fine, either way it goes,, but (as I have said a million times now) I am really HOPING this goes all the way through without some crazy physical altercations like what happened when 'states rights' were argued in the case of slavery. Undereducated? Really? Lets look at his education and accomplishments. Prep School in Houston Graduated High School from the Phillips Accademy (One of the top schools in the nation) BA from Yale (One of the top schools in the world) President of the DKE Fraternity Member of the Skull and Bones Society (The top secret society in the nation, not to mention the hardest to get in. The basis of the movies the Skulls 1 through 3) MBA from Harvard (The only President in history to have earned an MBA) Commissioned Officer and Pilot in the Air Force Reserve So in reality President Bush is one of the most educated President we have ever had, his education and accomplishments runs circles around the "Chosen One" that's in office now. Bush had the best credentials money could buy, that didn't make him smart, but it did make him a drunk! |

May those who love me, love me. Those who don't love me may God turn their hearts. If God does not turn their hearts, may God turn their ankles, so I may know them by their limping.

Smiling at Strangers

I wonder if people mirror you and give you back what you have given. If someone smiles or/and says hi it makes me feel good and I can't help but return the gesture. I always try to be nice to everyone and respect them. Its come automatically to me and I think that you can go anywhere in this country and find the same.
"Minnesota nice"....lol |

Throwing Caution To The Wind
|
|
: : meaning of "throwing caution to the wind" : If you throw something "to the wind", you are decisively jettisoning it - tossing it away, letting the wind take it and blow it right away out of reach of recovery. (Imagine throwing away a letter, for example.) So if you throw caution to the wind, you are abandoning it completely, knowing that from now on you will have to act boldly - you can't go back to a cautious policy. (VSD) Throwing caution to the wind does not always have to be quite so all-encompassing and irrevocable as you might infer from Victoria's enthusiastic account. You can throw caution to the wind in terms of some single act, and you can use it humorously. "I'm going to throw caution to the wind and guess that you feel like hell today." More seriously, "John threw caution to the wind and told the boss off today." "Amy threw caution to the wind and told George she loved him." "She did it again the next day, when she bought that dress she couldn't afford." "The general threw caution to the wind and put his ragtag troops, some without shoes, onto rowboats, to cross the Delaware River in the dark of the night in midwinter to try to storm the well-trained Hessian mercenaries as they celebrated in their barracks on Christmas night." I believe that some people prefer to use wind in the plural, and throw their caution to the winds. |

The silent treatment can be brutally effective, tho childish. I have found that it takes alot of energy to be angry or upset with someone. So what I do is try to engage them and keep trying. Have fun doing it, make em smile or laugh and its all over.
I think the reason for most silent treatments is that the person giving it knows that what they are feeling is not right or rational and that they have no real arguement that they could defend. So to still get some point across they use it. Engaging them forces them to actually come up with some real reason for it and they will soon drop it rather than try to defend it because they know it will be embarrassing when you poke holes in the silly thing that started it. |

I would say that men do too look at profiles. What would be the point of emailing someone you have no interest in, and if you are interested you would want to know more about them. Besides, it gives you someplace to start a conversation without looking like your only half trying.

I don't know if you ever "get over it", I think that you learn to live with it. Maybe even understand it, but because it is a broken trust there has to be some kind of reckoning.
