INCONCEVABLE!!!

There's a group of us {8 close gal friends, from high school days through college} and we have 8 boys...all born in 1976 {that was a huge year for boys} and out of those 8 - 6 chose to have our boys circumcised and 2 chose not too.

I remember once after the last baby boy was born {they avg 2-3 months separation for the most part} one of the un-circumcised moms started asking the rest of us about 'Why, we had decided to do that to our little boys'? And the consensus was - the 'Dad's demanded it!' Had it been left up to us mothers we would not have put our little baby boys through that barbaric 'snip & cut'; but our men folk wouldn't be persuaded otherwise!

While I've found this topic fascinating - it does make me wonder; is it the 'NORM' for the DADS to insist that their little boys get circumcised or is it the mom's decision or both?
BTW - none of us were of the Jewish faith, so it wasn't based on religion. There have been times that I still recall hearing my baby scream in that room where they did that procedure and it haunts me that I didn't stand my ground about that!

Not to mention anyone that stands up and starts defending prostitution or shows to have any kind of intelligent knowledge of the subject is going to be asked "how do YOU know so much about it? Why are YOU so concerned about it? A little whoremongering there are ya?" And if public officials come out and really push it then wait for the paparazzi frenzy trying to get pictures of the guy with hookers and rumors to fly.

Thanks for the advice. At least I know I stirred up a hornets nest. I know men lie too, I guess people have a problem growing older and losing their looks. I'm not vain nor have I ever had a problem with vanity... but then again I'm not the norm.
