My work in neuroscience is an intellectual challenge. After work, to relax, I usually exercise, either running, swimming, biking, soccer, or weights. I am looking for someone to share this time and has similar interests.
When not working or exercising, I garden and cook while listening to book or podcast. My favorite books challenge my opinions. I am especially drawn to science fiction stories that pose a simple “what if” possibility and build a story around it. This interest extends to to comedy about things we consistently accept but when studied appear absurd.
I don’t own a car and bike or run everywhere. When asked why I don’t have car, my answer is that I don’t need one. In my opinion, a bike is a perfect vehicle being easy to fix, fast, and fits perfectly in uncomplicated lifestyle. This is a personal choice and I believe everyone should choose the lifestyle that best fits their needs.
I seek to challenge myself both physically and mentally everyday. Although I am not religious, I do believe that contentment is achieved by being giving and understanding and not dwelling on ones own self interest. In everything I do, I want to question how it helps my community and myself rather than accepting whatever dogma that is currently accepted. Hence, the reason why I choose not to own a car.
I am searching for a long term relationship. Developing a relationship with mutual support and understanding is my desired outcome.
