I'm a retired zoo veterinarian. I'm very low key, non materialistic, spend most of my time puttering in the greenhouse or the yard, reading, TV, computer, enjoy WWII doentaries. I rescue a dog now and then, and have nine at the moment---some of which were within hours of getting The Needle. Also some other animal welfare type activities. Music is important to me; I just purchased a music system that provides 24 hr music, without ads, via the internet, and I'm awestruck. My preference is clical, but I can happily listen to other flavors as well. I don't get out much when I'm solo, but when in a relationship I enjoy going out to eat (casual), country drives, day trips, movies, wherever you like to go; the company is more important than the destination. I'm looking for a gal who is compatible with my focus on nature and with my (doubtless) other eccentricities, who shares my Midwest values (honesty, compion, reliability, responsibility--all the usual stuff), and who brings her own spark to the table--a pion for her work, her hobby, whatever, about which she can teach me. I'm in this for the long haul, and I very much enjoy both giving and receiving affection. Enjoy long vigorous conversations in which we may have radically different viewpoints, but which end amicably. I am not religious in the conventional sense--nature is my religion. Regrettably, I have neither the sports gene nor the dancing gene.
