No, not really. That headline was quite a bluff. (Neither your shape-up or my needs are that urgent here..) But after dismissing "Swedish writer seeks company for worldwide travels" as being too pretentious, I thought; what the heck, it's the picture you're judging me by anyway. (Right?)
But then again, to tell you who I really am, "writing" and "from Sweden" would probably show up sooner or later in the conversation, this I can't deny.
That I live somewhere in between New York, LA, Barcelona and Oslo, and that you in general would have problems keeping track of me, you would figure out pretty soon too. (I might not know where I am tomorrow when you read this, why also coffees can be hard to schedule.)
When I'm not moving around in between continents (and making you wait for that coffee), or even while I'm doing just that, I am most likely learning something new, reading something new or talking to someone new. An enjoyable way to fill my day.
When we finally get to have that coffee, we'd soon find out one or two things in common, I'm sure, since I, in my constant search for the world (and myself?), have done a little bit of everything and nothing.
If you've worked as a mechanic, a waiter, an IT-tech, a teacher, at a hotdog-stand or in a bank, I might have too.
If you've been going through a grunge phase, a hardcore period with a break for some jazz, or tested the clic minimal after your share of the balkan music, but ended up somewhere in between the post-punk and the ambient metal-field; then maybe we have even more to talk about.
If you also enjoy painting women, preferably in burnt sienna or gold ochre, late at night with a pinot noir as your only company, then we might even be a match.
I'm free for coffee sometime around spring 2012. Are you?
