I'm quick-witted and love to laugh. I would love to meet and spend time with someone whose sense of humor complements mine. I was suddenly widowed ten years ago. I guess what that experience has taught me is how fragile life is and how important it is to find something to enjoy every day. I want to do everything, see everything, try everything, go everywhere... The perfect person for me is very intelligent. Someone who loves to laugh as much as I do. Someone with a little spunk and a lot of adventure in his soul... lots of talking, lots of laughing, lots of "hey, why don't we...", lots of affection. The perfect guy for me is game for pretty much any opportunity. The perfect guy for me is just as happy exploring the back roads of Florida as he is watching videos if that's all we feel like doing that day, or hanging out at a lovely restaurant over (many) cups of coffee with lots of conversation and laughter. And even after being out of circulation for 20-some years, I've noticed that not much has changed... Dating is still kind of a horror show. It would be nice to meet someone who's comfortable in his own skin. What have I learned..? Well, for sure I've learned that you can't change people, and it's fruitless and frustrating to try. And I've learned that everyone needs to feel special. And that most people like to be pampered a little. And, I guess the most important thing I've learned is not to sweat the small stuff, because "this, too, shall p." Oh, and one more thing... and this really puzzles me. I've noticed that many of the men my age on this site are looking for women who are 20 to 30 years their junior. Why, for god's sake? What could you possibly have to talk about? And yeah, I get the trophy wife thing, and yeah, I know I'm not as firm as I was 25 years ago, but I'm still hip and sexy AND smart to boot. It always amuses me that the men who admit to "a few extra pounds" are searching for slender, athletic females... And finally, a disclaimer. My pics were taken a year ago. I don't respond to flirts or profiles without pictures. I hope you understand...
