I'm looking for someone who does not want to rush into a dating relationship right away. I mean, I would like to start out friends first, if that is possible. I get turned off by online guys who immediately start talking about how they want to be my boyfriend. I want to get to know the person before I agree to date them. I want to know that I'm being persued because of who I am, not because someone is just looking for a girlfriend.
Another thing that is very important to me is that any guy who is interested in me shares the same theological views that I do -- belief in the historic Christian creeds, belief in the Trinity, belief that Jesus is both fully God and fully man, belief in the blood atonement, belief in Jesus' bodily resurrection, belief in Jesus' literal second coming (in short, that he believes in the gospel message). I'm very theologically conservative in my viewpoints. I will not yield on any of the above beliefs. I'm also VERY opposed to the Word of Faith/Prosperity gospel.
It is also important to me that any guy that is interested in me has trusted in Jesus Christ to be his Lord and Savior.
These things are important to me because I want Jesus Christ to be the center of all the stages of my relationship with any guy.
I would be interested in a Christian man who loved me for who I am, who sought to encourage me both in my life and in my relationship with God, who treated me in a loving way...someone who truly cared for me, and someone who respected me as a person.
