Hi...Gosh, this is the hard part. I never know what to say. As you can see, I'm an older, white guy. Kind of tall and getting fitter. I've lost some weight over the past few years and I'm trying to keep that going for just a bit longer, but, I am no longer carrying a few extra pounds. My boyish, good looks faded quite a while ago :) I have a bawdy, earthy sense of humor. I have been told I'm a good man. I hope I am. I must admit, I do have a soft heart for animals as well as children. I am looking for female companionship. If your *** is incomplete or has no photo. Do not contact me. A complete *** is a must. If you live outside of a 50 radius, don't contact me. Once you contact me, we should be talking on the phone within the week. If not, I will move along. If you are serious, this will be no problem. Also, do not ask for money before we meet. I take care of my girl friends. But, to be a real girl friend, we have to meet and spend some time together. Please respect my wishes. I've had to come back and do a little editing. I had to rehome the horses. Maintaining the pasture was a bit too much for me these days. I had already retired them to pasture ornament status. We had all grown old together, so, after some effort, I found a sanctuary farm when they will live out the rest of their lives, retired from riding. They are thriving and living well. I get updates on them, with photos too :) It's been a year, but I still miss them like crazy, it still stings a bit. I had promised to be their forever home and they became pets and acted accordingly. I did the very best I could for them and I think it has worked out to their benefit. I didn't sell them, I gave them to the people that own the farm. But, in my head, they are still mine. Now, I've got to be a bit honest here. Part of the reason I couldn't care for them is that five years ago, I fell on a hike. I did some damage to my hip and spine. I'm not wheel chair bound, but I do have to do physical therapy. The physical therapy is pretty comprehensive and it's pretty good work out. I used to be a bit of a jock, so, I kind of like it. It also triggers that old Marine part of me that thinks no pain, no gain or that pain is only weakness leaving the body. Gross generalizations, I know. I still love to hike, but, on the easier trails these days. Doc says it will take a couple of years and consistency with my work out before I can tackle the hard trails again. That puts hitting the Art Loeb Trail, my favorite, out of bounds for now. Which is a damn shame because I love the Art Loeb Trail. I am more of a mountain boy instead of a beach boy. They are cheaper, cooler and less crowded than Myrtle Beach and the other beaches on the South Carolina coast. I do love the NC beaches better. Less of all that touristy development there. Stil some wilder places there, nature-wise. I am a somewhat mediocre guitar player, I'm also teaching myself mandolin. I learned to read music when I played clarinet in the Jr. High School band. The Grateful Dead are my favorite. But my musical tastes run the gamut from classical to zydeco with damn near everything in between. I'm not a real fan of commercial and or pop music. Well, I hope I haven't bored you too much or been too wordy. Like I said, I'm not very good at this, so, I will beg your indulgence and hope
that I hear from you soon. I've got my fingers crossed that you are Miss Right. I'm truly tired of being single and living alone, these days :) Oh, one other thing. I'm getting into the community page of this website. I've answered a few things there and it is *** to respond or enter a topic. Right now, I've just got a basic membership, so, I can't answer your mail, I can read it, but not answer it. I have to budget the upgrade in. I should also tell you that I'm poor as a church mouse. So, for now, look for me on the community page, I can respond to you there. :)
