Hi, I'm Steve. Born in Barking but moved to Canvey Island when I was very young, been here ever since. A few months ago I separated from a very long relationship (25 years) and now I'm out to start all over again. I'm sociable, outgoing, honest and loyal and I miss having that special someone to end the day with. Looking to make some new friends while I'm here.
I'm lucky to be part of a very close family and we share a lot of good times together, which I'm thankful for, family is very important to me :)
I currently work as a Toolsetter for a Marine Engineering company in Benfleet. It's not a glamorous job but the people there are great and we all get our hands dirty. It pays the bills and it also pays for my weekend pion... I'm a motorcycle racer^^ For 9 of the year's weekends hundreds of members of the BMCRC Racing Club get together to fuel our need for the thrill that is motorbike racing. There's nothing like it, waiting on the start line for the lights to go out and then 40 motorbikes crescend to a roar and squeel for grip as we hurl ourselves into the first corner of many... The noise and smells of a racetrack at the weekend, the beers and stories around the BBQ in the evening, it becomes a part of you.
I also play the drums. Have been learning to play for a while now and I love it. May be the next Joey Jordison in the making... Don't worry though, I use an electric kit at home and a real one in the studio, neighbours would love that lol. I like to read Terry Pratchett Discworld novels and laugh out load as he bends and twists the English language like no one else can ^^.
To keep fit, I run a few times a week with Castle Point Joggers, a great bunch of people, and may even visit the gym every now and then. Nothing too serious, I just like to keep the belly at bay :P
I'm here looking for new friends and someone to share the evenings and weekends with, a fun night out or a sofa for 2 plus a bottle of wine sounds good to me :) Fancy joining me? Gimme a nudge and we'll see...
