I have lived in Phoenix almost my entire life. We moved here in 1971 when I was 6 years old. I was born in Michigan and lived for a short time in Oregon. Phoenix is my hometown though and I watched it grow from 35,000 people to the 5th largest city in the US.
I went to trade school in 1985 and became an electrician. My first job as an apprentice was for $4.50 / hr.(minimum wage was $3.35)
The trade was very good to me for almost 20 years but I decided it was time for a change. I started my first business in 2002. It did quite well till 2008 when the economy took a nose dive. With the help of friends and family I have been able to make it through and start another business. This one is a bit more bulletproof when it come to "fluctuations in the economic climate" :)
That is my life history up to now. :)
Interests? What I do for fun?
I like working with my hands, repairing things, building things, growing things. If you can get dirty doing it, I probably like it. I love to swim, had a backyard pool growing up. Darts, pool cause i used to hang out at the bar in my younger days. I like learning new things. I watch Discovery and Science Channel, surf the web and even figure things out for myself.
I do relax from time to time as well. I like watching movies, walks or picnics in the park, love the outdoors, or just enjoying my backyard oasis.
