Recently I took a silly online quiz and it described me to a tee: "Your soul is autumn! You are an individual who has a lot of depth. You're all about finding out who you are as an individual. In this respect you can be incredibly spiritual and find yourself thinking philosophically about life all the time. Some may consider you to be quiet or a loner but you are just an observer of life by nature." I am highly sensitive and contemplative. Sometimes this comes off as though I am aloof or non-communicative. This is not the case. I am simply rolling things around in my mind, trying to figure it all out. I also have learned to choose my words carefully and as a result tend to hold back on expressing a thought if I can't find the right words to express it. This stems from spending countless hours with both feet in my mouth. A highly uncomfortable position indeed. I am compassionate as well as passionate, relatively easy going and very kind. I tend to be a little shy at first, but will come out of my shell pretty quickly if the energy and conversation are stimulating. I enjoy laughter and have a great sense of humor. I am turned on by stimulating conversation and am a very good listener. I believe one of the most important things we can give each other is our attention. I am a Sapiophile. I am a city girl at heart and although I enjoy the country, I tend to get restless and need to get back to the concrete. My daughter and I spent spring break in New York City and I fell in love. My ultimate goal is to go to grad school there when my daughter goes to college next fall. I believe in self growth and lifelong learning. To stop learning and growing is to stay in the same place. I have also recently gone back to learning to play music. I can't decide on one so I rotate between piano, guitar and bass guitar. I believe that life is a series of moments in time and we should try to live them to the fullest. I quit smoking 16 months ago (by way of vaping) and prefer not dating someone who smokes. Vaping is cool tho. I enjoy long road trips, exploring new places and towns, and channeling Billy Joel while behind the wheel (except that my car is in a coma; in need of a new motor..which seems to be a deal breaker for some.
