Actually, listen to the song "Deep as Your Pocket (Loretta Lynn's orginal version or the cover by Tres Chicas) and if you fit that description then move on.
Ok, now that I have your attention:
1.I'm NOT married! There seems to be an overabundance of people out there who claim to be divorced or not married who, it turns out, are only separated or are on a trial separation. I'm not looking to be someone's aid and comfort until they can patch things up with their husband. This is not my scene. I was separated in March of 2006 and divorced in December 2006.
2.Also, I do not want to be with anyone who is going to moan, complain and lament over past relationships. This is now, that was then. Get over the past and move on. It's hard to build a future when you stay stuck in the past.
3.I'm definitely not a sugar daddy. I have a blue collar job and a hobby which brings me in a few dollars here and there.
4.However, just because I'm not a doctor, lawyer, circus clown, etc. does not mean I'm any less intellectual or intelligent than people who have built careers in those fields. I can enjoy an art or photographic exhibit, a musical or an independent film as well as I can Crimson Tide football and NASCAR.
5.No codependents! I lived that life for 17 years and the few relationships I've had since being divorced were ended because that element began to creep in.
6.No practicing alcoholics or drug users! If you are a friend of Bill W. or recovered then that is great and I'd be proud to have you as a part of my life.
7.Last, but certainly not least, is honesty. We all have flaws and foibles; we certainly are not perfect creatures (look no further than the White House for proof of that!) But do not be ashamed or afraid of being yourself. Our uniqueness is the essence of humanity.
As for me? Well, I'm an honest, compionate and open minded person who has been hurt a few times (who hasn't?) but am resilient and able to move on very quickly. I'm a "liberated" man and I love to be with a lady who is independent and strong in her convictions. I'm not looking for a long term commitment at THIS time; my experience has taught me that if you jump into a new relationship focused totally on the years ahead, you tend to lose sight of the here and now. Building a solid foundation of friendship is the first step in ANY relationship. I do have my leisure time preferences, but I'm also open to exploring new ideas and experiences. I am comfortable being around people who are comfortable with being themselves, whether they enjoy opera or country, polo or football, or caviar or bologna.
And, being a native Alabamian, I do have my pick: Roll Tide! This does not mean I can't ociate with people who support a certain cow college which is practically in Georgia, but it could get pretty hairy on Iron Bowl Saturdays. :-)
