No, my name isn’t really Velma, but I do love the old Scooby Doo cartoons…takes me back to my childhood when life was still simple! I’m a Dallas-area native, which makes me a rare bird in these parts. Family is very important to me-I live within 10 miles of my parents and both brothers.
I don't have any kids of my own, and at this point in my life, having kids is probably no longer an option, but I do love kids, and it’s ok if you have them. I spend as much time as possible with my niece and nephew, always striving to be the "cool aunt". That includes being the best ever Band Aunt with their high school band, and my niece’s #1 fan at her softball games.
I'm clearly not an athlete, but I'm a great "fan". I enjoy going to sporting events, and even like to watch some of them on TV. I’m a die-hard Cowboys fan, even when they stink, and I love all things Olympic-I am a total Olympics nerd! NASCAR, however, does nothing for me…I just don’t get it!
I like most kinds of music, although I really dig 60’s and 70’s, oh yeah and 80’s rock…and I love to sing along and pretend I can carry a tune. Consider yourself duly warned!
I love all the usual things women love, such as theatre, shopping, musicals, shopping, museums, shopping and the zoo. As for movies, I am partial to romantic comedies but I enjoy pretty much everything except war movies. If I happen to catch The Princess Bride or Overboard on the tube, I simply have to stop and watch to the end. Oh, and did I mention I like to shop?
I’m looking for a great guy who values honesty and a sense of humor. You’ll need it if I forget and start singing with the radio! You should enjoy going out and doing stuff, but also enjoy staying home and curling up on the couch with a good movie. You should enjoy spending time with your friends and family, and understand that I need to do the same. Someday I would like a long term relationship, but I believe we should get to know each other and have a lot of fun first.
