College educated carpenter seeks mature, philosophically articulate fem. with working cl values; object, dynamic mental exchanges.
See the image of me on the Farmall tractor. Note the building in back. I grew in in SW Virginia (Meadowview) and eastern KY, and we still didn't have electricity in 1955. We had a pump handle over the sink in the kitchen. Cooked on a wood stove all year round. This is where you play Dolly Parton's "Coat of Many Colors", my favorite song. If you can't relate to Dolly, or that song, or Elvis, or ... you can quit here :-) Also if you are not rich, beautiful or famous, have any skin imperfections, missing teeth, bladder problems. If you now or ever have had bad credit, are divorced, short, tall, over/under weight.. you know the routine.
I saw one profile reading you don't need Viagra with me! What the heck is a viagra? The gospel according to Madonna - Rescue Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7-jkX_Dh-8
Me? I am looking for someone who can't move, who lives with kids, has six animals, 8 grandkids, and three jobs. I like praying that one day I will be the one getting some real attention just one day. Kidding. Oops, I forgot ex or dead husbands, ouch. Actually, I am looking for someone w/out all the baggage to talk to.
As of May, I have lived in the same rented farmhouse for 25 years. I have more flowers than any one on the block. I ate figs, grapes and apples again this year from the yard. I find myself unattached again, and am looking for someone to talk to in these difficult times. I was laid off in the work slow down, and have a case of cabin fever. (see picture) While I am currently without a job, I have worked my whole adult life as a maintenance carpenter, and can fix anything but a broken heart. I won't even try those :-( I build, fix and maintain computers. I give free computer advice. Is your computer running slow? tyvekhomewrap at hotmail dot com
Note that I do my own carpentry work, and electricity, and plumbing, so you don't need to be able to do that. I also hang sheetrock, paint and trim. Doors, windows, siding, etc. At my house there is no need for a bank teller, or cashier, real estate agent, waitress, bartender, if you get my drift. My rhetorical question is, what talents would you bring to a homestead? Besides, as Ian Flemming says, cooking and laying on your back.
Other than computers, I am not real impressed with a lot of what modern life has given us. I have no cell phone, and have unplugged my TV when it went to digital. As i have a degree in Philosophy and Religion from Auburn, my personal approach to religion does not involve Sunday morning shows of material excess, if you know what I mean? If you want to discuss the KJV, I know it pretty well and write about it some. My dad told a story about his uncle who NEVER went to church, but ALWAYS listened to church on the radio. My dad said he would put a 20$ bill on the radio, saying, 'That money is for the Lord. If he needs it, it is right there, but it is not for a preacher'. Like him, my religion does not require the mediation of a preacher or a priest.
I have no kids, no ex, and no family around. So if you or any one that you know needs someone to talk to, wants someone to help drive or needs someone to help with work around the house or yard, computer advice, etc you can let me know. I haven't been to New Orleans since the hurricane and would like to go see that. Note that inspite of being an alpha male, in some situations I like to be told exactly what to do.
If you know any one interested in a TroyBilt tiller or a 58 HD Duo-Glide, I would like to trade for a car that gets better mileage than an 88 F150 truck.
Here is a big cyber hug from bigbytes to everyone who is hoping for someone special to enter their lives. We can all pray together here for that :-)
My three unfavorite things to read in a profile: Mr Right, Price Charming, and Alabama Football.
I write if you like to read:
Facing the Future
http://www.geocities.com/jussaymoe/future/future.htm
"Into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but
if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city,
shake off the dust of your feet."
