*He looks over to Druss, He did not mean to be so rude to the man.*
My apologies Sir, I was a little lost in my thoughts. Good morning. |
And a good day to you pilgrim.
Would you have an ale with a battered veteran? |
Morning to all
It will be light soon and I must return to the Underdark but first I need nourishment |
By all means dark one, eat.
*He looks to Druss and smiles softly.*
I'd be happy to, it's always nice to meet new people. ...My name is Vun, by the way. |
Well met Vun,
Your travels are etched on your face. Take this chance to rest. I fear dark days ahead. |
I fear you may be right, sir.
*He sighs a little.* Why can't there ever be light days ahead? |

It is the nature of all beings. War and distain are inevitable. All we can do is rise to the challenge before us.
You are right of course, as much as I might wish it to be otherwise.
*He closes his eyes for a second and makes a single quiet chuckle before opening his eyes again.* It's a funny thing isn't it? The beings in this world with the best chance of controlling their nature, are instead the most violent. |

The beings in this world with the best chance of controlling their nature, are instead the most violent. That's the paradox my friend. Most find the best chance of controlling is through violence. The real question is why seek to control ones nature, When our nature is what it is? |
What are morals and ethics other than controlling one's nature? I submit to you that controlling one's nature is now part of our nature. |
AAhh, I'll give you that. But to some, Carnage and destruction are their nature.

I have listened to all this useless prattle Nature - spits on the floor Evil is my nature Greetings all. A pleasure to meet you my sister. Evil is most definitly my nature |

See Vun,
My point is proven before you. |

All too true, after all a beast may kill another beast, but hate and vengeance is a creation of us, the sentient creatures.
We have the amazing ability to rationalize and justify our actions, to "transcend nature" for lack of a better term. I feel that anyone if given the motivation and chance, could change their nature. |

I am surprised of you Dark ones.
Beings how have lived as long as we have should know by now that good and evil are such privative concepts. They don't exist, what matters is what is done, not if it is "good" or "Evil". |

All well said my friend, But I'll be ready to cleave those who don't tend to see it your way. |
