Topic: Why do the pages reload constantly? | |
---|---|
Why is it that every page on this site seems to reload about once every 10 seconds? It never seems to add any content or change anything and it messes with auto-scrolling.

its so on the off chance I get an e-mail, a little one will appear on the mail thingy when it refreshes. Hahah, thanks man. That makes sense. I do find it super annoying though. You'd think there would be a better mechanism to tell you when you have mail. Or at least refresh less often. |

E.g., Gmail has a pop-up when you get a new message on Google Talk or AIM. oops i keep hitting the f5 key(refresh button lol) Hahah, I can totally see it F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5... |

Actually, it's because of the IM option.
The site continually checks to see if someone is trying to contact you. Should you find this annoying, feel free to turn off the IM feature. |
