the worse part about this thread is the startling fact that we as a whole, men and women are now all overweight; i am 15-20 heavier than i want to be, but when i see 18-20-somethings heavier than me, and no sense of self pride, i feel sorry for that fact and what we have done to ourselves as a whole I could stand to lose 40 pounds. Does that mean I have no self-pride? Do you think I would be in a performance belly dance troupe if I had no pride? I've seen women far heavier than I dancing in public. Women how are extremely talented dancers and I'm always amazed at how many large women are really extremely graceful and can move with such fluidity. Do you think these women have no self-pride? We have so much sense of self worth and self value that we do not let society make us ashamed of our shapes and our bodies and make up feel that we should be hiding from the world because of our weight. Being overweight can have so many different factors that self-pride really doesn't have all that much to do with it. It really doesn't. Agreed! I am not barbie and never have been. But I would love to learn to belly dance. I am not ashamed of my body and even nude modle for classes at my college since my major is art. Ive never had a complaint, ever! I have been lucky enough to not have idiots like talked so harshly to you, but I know it could happen. We all have our prefs, but that doesn't mean we have to be rude. I have politely turned people down for many different reasons. They are mine and I stick by them, but I would never mouth off like that and hurt soemones feelings. Not kewl!

I HATE men like him. You dispise honesty? Everyone has their likes/dislike. I don't like it when a woman tels me I am not her type, but I do not hate her for it. Dating services are not like looking through a catalog, picking out a person you like, and they automatically fall for you. In my opinion they allow a person to be more selective about people, not to settle for anyone who is attracted to you. You are not going to be everyones tye for a number of reasons, and if they don't like larger women, it is their right. You are better off they tell you upfront, than lead you on. People should be more correct in their body type listing too. A lot of biger women put average in as their body type, and a ffew extra pounds when they are LARGE. Food for thought, and just my $.02 I understand that a larger woman may not be everyone's cup of tea. Yes and honesty up front is great. But I would never reply to anyone with a turndown that is so stated so poorly. TACT and RESPECT is something everyone should use just like please and thank you. And if you look at my profile. I do not state that I am average or a few extra pounds. I would rather someone not write me back than to say 'because you're fat'. I see myself in the shower every day....I know how big I am. Geez well said...
