I have recently found out i am half native american after finding my birth mom.I am now in the process of trying to find my birth father though i have no idea what tribe he's in or state he is from.I did change my profile to reflect my mixed heritage but does anyone have an idea where I can find native records?

thats cool, im also part indian, but im not sure where you can look, try checking out apache tribes, those are more common

try going to the tribal headquarters for your nearest tribe, i went through something similar with my oldest daughters father. i just went to the local tribe, and asked a lot of questions, they were very helpful.

<----is part Cherokee, part Irish, part Scottish and God only knows what else, lol...holy crap i'm a mutt! lol, seriously, there are some sites that do deal with ancestry of native Americans, i tried this some time back, what i ran into was if you really want the whole package, it will cost you about 250.00 i didn't do it so i'm not sure how accurate their findings are.
