WHAT is happening to this country - all the hate and bashing?
Our country will just grow further and further and further apart with all this nonsensical, idiotic, hate and bashing. Lindy, You are one of only 28% in this country with the blind loyalty to still think Bush'es policies are good. Surely you dont expect the other 72% to be as blind as you while the country is being destroyed!!

Thank you, so very much. Someone with intelligence. But you know, I do not think anyone here cares. If I did not love my country so much, I would actually hope a democrat gets in office in November, and then sit back and watch the disaster that will take place. Lindyy 
OK, since I didn't get a response from Fanta, I'll ask you. How is McCain going to get us out of Iraq? What's his exit strategy?

I didnt say McCain would get us out of Iraq. He is the only candidate that as Pres will not result in the further decline of our global status and respect. (ie,, stop loss). He is not my choice, but I will not vote for Hillary or Obama, and I wont waste my vote by writing in Mickey Mouse or someone similar. My vote has been reduced to a wild card. (The independent voter will decide this election, they always do) Pubes will vote Pube, and Dems will vote dems. It is just the nature of the beast. Dems have already shown their incompetence by leaving us with a choice between two DA's. Hillary, and Obama!! (With real hope coming from possibly Edwards or Richardson, how could this have happened??) Hillary and Obama, are possibly the only two candidates that could be worse than Bush. As a vet, I trust McCain's Patriotism and love for America, and trust he will at least keep us from falling into purgatory!! We can and will survive this ??war?? The most damage that has been done to America and the US Dollar, comes from our lop-sided trade deficit. The loss of manufacturing in this country and our purchasing green channelled to other countries has caused this. We are reduced to a country with a service industry foundation, thanks to corporate policies bought from politicians, and executed by the likes of the Clintons and Obamas via Nafta and other trade agreements designed to favor corporations, not Americans!! The only thing that could possibly change my vote would be a third party candidate. say if Paul were to run as a libertarian??? Even that scares me!!
Fanta, Thanks for responding. We're already in purgatory. 5 years of a mismanaged war with no end in sight. The only candidate that has an exit strategy from Iraq is Barack Obama with a 16 month phased withdrawal while negotiating with Iraq's, as well as regional leaders. http://www.barackobama.com/issues/iraq/ This is not an immediate withdrawal, which would be disastrous. I am a veteran, too, and am concerned about the rising death toll among the brave men and women serving there. But why keep them in harm's way any longer than necessary? McCain and Hillary have absolutely no solutions for Iraq. Obama does. Also, do you think McCain is going to bring trade fairness, eliminate NAFTA, and strengthen the dollar? |

I didn't cut and run, I was busy 
My thoughts on McCain. I am concerned about his warmongering ways. We are already tyrants with our actions in Iraq if we get him in office he may make us worse then shrub did and that would be really really bad. His being a POW though honorable is not an advantage in war time situation. It is actually a concern. He is not able to be completely objective on the subject of war and both sides of the coin. I see him as weak and frail. This is not a good quality in a president. |

The only candidate that has an exit strategy from Iraq is Barack Obama with a 16 month phased withdrawal while negotiating with Iraq's, as well as regional leaders. http://www.barackobama.com/issues/iraq/ Obama sys what he is told! His strategy is to say nothing, or only what is necessary to get him a vote!! What you see and hear with him is a groomed puppet! Hillary is in the corporations pocket. The only hope we have is a stop-loss, and McCain is hated enough by the Republicans as to not be one of the boys, and expeirienced enough to keep our interests at heart when it comes to foreign policy and military operations! This is not an immediate withdrawal, which would be disastrous. I am a veteran, too, and am concerned about the rising death toll among the brave men and women serving there.
