Topic: Annoyances with MS Vista

Ok. So this is a new one. You know those system restore points in Vista? Apparently I had over 200 Gigs worth of those taking up my hard drive. Anybody else have similar annoyances?

I bought a new computer last Fall, and I paid an extra $100 just to NOT have vista and keep xp. Totally worth it.

I got a new PC last Fall with Vista Home Premium and I don't like it at all. Wish I still had windows XP Lindyy

I bought a laptop just after Christmas and I specifically ordered it with XP. I don't know one person who totally likes Vista.

Can't you dial down the number of restore points? You can do just that with XP- I've got mine set up so that it only takes up a couple of megabytes. And no- I won't be using Vista anytime soon, either. Unless M$ ends up forcing everyone to go to Vista, that is.

Can't you dial down the number of restore points? You can do just that with XP- I've got mine set up so that it only takes up a couple of megabytes. Not with Vista. It will take up to 15% of the available drive space. You can delete the older restore points with disk cleanup, which I did.

You can dial down the number of restore points in XP down to practically nothing via XP's Control Panel- it's WAY easy. Looks like there's ANOTHER reason NOT to go out and get Vista.
