Premise of Weisman's book is: what would happen to Earth if humans just *poof* disappeared? What would happen to buildings, roads? Would wildlife take over?
Better question: if humans disappear, would we re-appear in 4 million years, give or take a mil? |

The Weisman book poses so many possibilities. It's one of those books you want to read and then think about. Are we a reincarnation of a civilization that disappeared millions of years ago? It would explain Von Daaniken's supposed "Chariots of the Gods".... |

i know what you mean my hearing has decayed since i bought an ipod I think I have to agree with you. i read an article about lots of people reporting hearing problems I do not doubt it. I listen to my full blast. The louder the better. Probably should stop that eh?

I would rather be deaf, I don't listen half the time anyways and I'm fluent in sign language, my son is hearing impaired in one ear...
