I read today that about 40% of the Parents in the US,are affraid of their Children. The Children were from 10,to 21. Do you think thats true? Are Children out of control?

not all kids, but more than you think....


like they say, "it takes a whole villiage to raise a child"

watch, listen, and have a good relationship with your child, they have to feel comfortable comin to you with anything, without fear of being ridiculed, or judged and yet still be respected by you as the parent

not around here...........it's a little thing called dicipline.....or as we like to call it....."whipping that azz"

my niece's ex has parents afraid of him. the parents abuse each other and the kid has a temper because he's learned it from the parents....now they are scared of his temper

in the same vein as these, all of which ive seen as taglines for news stories
"the secret sex lives of teens"
"are your children addicted to drugs?"
"videogames and school-shootings, is there a connection?"

Children are out of control and it's mostly the parents fault. Because of the way our society has changed a lot of parents feel like their lives are so busy and their jobs are so important that they can't pay attention to their children. They put them off on other people and they give them what they want so they will stay out of their hair.

i do, which is a huge generalization...but kids get no discipline at home and none at school, not to mention all the empty church pews as compared to just 20 yrs ago...anyway my point is that i am not scared of my children, they're great...but they didn't just wake up one day being great...it's been a 20 yr process of grooming them for greatness.
i feel sorry for so many kids that are not taught to respect anyone, any kind of restraint or discipline, then all of a sudden...they're 18 and expected to use social skills they've never been taught

even though my son is bigger than me and has become one of my best friends...I have NO problem reminding him who mom is

my opinion is that kids today use the ABUSE TACTIC i will report you and the system does not allow for a good ass kickin when needed and as a child a wild child i got my ass kicked and deserved it and never thought to use the system to report.there is a line with correcting and abusing and i was corrected and thankfull today that i had parents who cared.

So the problem is the Parent. Not, Cable,Computers,Fast Food,Drugs,Money,Movies,Schools, or Sex?

They need to be raised the way I was raised!!! The nuns wacked you , your parents wacked you etc.. Teaches you quickly not to act up & have respect!!!!!
